Our August Activity Calendar is here!

We’re excited to share another month filled with fun, laughter, music, games, crafts, worship services, and special events for our residents!

A special thank you to our wonderful family members’ who suggested that we share our monthly activity calendar on Facebook. We love hearing ideas from our families and are always happy to make it easier for everyone to stay connected with the exciting things happening at our home!

Please note that activities, times, and special events are subject to change based on resident needs, weather, special opportunities, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Some of our best memories come from the unplanned moments, so we love adding special activities and surprises throughout the month!

Music has a way of bringing people together—and yesterday was truly something special.

We had the pleasure of welcoming Xander Berry, an incredibly talented 15-year-old 10th grader, who shared his gift of music with our residents through a beautiful piano performance.

Xander is a member of the Chiefland Middle High School Band and only began playing the piano a few years ago—completely by ear. Even more inspiring, he channels his emotions into writing and performing his own original music.

Watching our residents enjoy every note and seeing the smiles throughout the room reminded us how powerful music can be. Thank you, Xander, for spending your time with us and sharing your remarkable talent. You made a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of listening.

Thank you, Xander! We hope to have you back at Tri-County Nursing Home again soon. 🎶❤️

🐾 We Can’t Let the Dog Days of Summer Go By Without a Puppy Parade! 🐾

Join us for a tail-wagging good time at Tri-County Nursing Home on Friday, August 7, 2026, at 10:00 AM!

We’re inviting our community to bring their friendly, leashed, well-behaved dogs to visit our residents and fill our halls with smiles, laughter, and lots of wagging tails.

Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes!!!

There’s nothing sweeter than spending time together! Our residents had a wonderful afternoon creating delicious Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes topped with colorful sprinkles, frosting, and lots of smiles.

Activities like these are about more than just making a tasty treat—they encourage creativity, spark conversations, and create meaningful moments that brighten everyone’s day. Seeing the joy and pride on our residents’ faces as they decorated (and enjoyed!) their sweet creations was the best part.

A day filled with laughter, friendship, and a little extra sweetness is a day well spent! ❤️

Last week our residents had an opportunity to participate in a healthy cooking demonstration!

We love opportunities that encourage creativity, healthy living, and social engagement. Our residents enjoyed preparing colorful, nutritious dishes while learning new tips and having plenty of laughs along the way.

A heartfelt thank you to Renette Gabriel, APRN, that hosted this fun and educational event and for providing such a wonderful experience for our residents. We truly appreciate community partners who help make days like these so special!

🍕🚒 Showing Our Appreciation! 🚒🍕

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to show our appreciation to our local City Fire Department by providing them with homemade pizzas as a small thank-you for their service.

A special thank you goes to our incredible Certified Dietary Manager, Joe, who prepared the pizzas and made this thoughtful gesture possible. We especially wanted to recognize our firefighters for their hard work and dedication while serving our community during the Fourth of July festivities.

Thank you to our local firefighters for everything you do to keep our community safe. We truly appreciate your commitment and service!
