This Presidents' Day, we honor the leaders who shaped our nation with courage and dedication. At Sherwood Village, we're inspired by their commitment to service and carry that same spirit into the care we provide. Just as our presidents served with purpose, our team works every day to help families stay together in the comfort of home.

We believe everyone deserves compassionate, professional care when they need it most. We are always putting your independence and well-being first.

Winter can be tricky when it comes to staying hydrated. We understand that the cold weather often makes us forget to drink enough water, and it's easy to overlook this important need when we're not feeling as thirsty as we do in summer.

Your body still needs plenty of fluids during these colder months. Indoor heating can actually dehydrate you more than you realize. Even though you might not feel parched, your body is working hard to stay healthy and needs that consistent hydration support.

Simple ways to stay on track: keep a water bottle nearby, try warm herbal teas, and remember that soups and broths count too. Every sip matters, and we're here to remind you that taking care of yourself is always worth it.

What's your favorite way to stay hydrated when it's cold outside? 💧

Making the decision to move a parent to assisted living is one of the hardest choices we face. You're not alone in feeling this weight on your heart. 💙

The guilt is real, but so is your love. You're making this choice because you care deeply about their safety, health, and happiness. Sometimes the most loving thing we can do is recognize when our parents need more support than we can provide at home.

At Sherwood Village, we understand this journey isn't easy. Every family walks this path with mixed emotions, and that's completely normal. Your feelings are valid, and your decision comes from a place of love.

Remember: choosing professional care doesn't mean you're giving up or failing as a child. It means you're putting their needs first, even when it's difficult for you.

What helped you work through these feelings when making care decisions for your loved ones?

Fresh air helps clear your mind, reduces stress, and gives you that natural energy boost we all need. It's not about having perfect weather or the perfect outdoor space. It's about giving yourself permission to pause and breathe.

Whether it's your a nearby park, or even just stepping onto your balcony, those moments matter. Your wellbeing deserves this simple act of care.

What's your favorite way to enjoy fresh air when you need a moment to reset?
