Andy B. Business Owner
Andy is a certified and licensed massage therapist specializing in pain relief through therapeutic trigger point massage at her private practice in San Francisco, CA. Her style flows between the edgy manipulation of soft tissue and soothing therapeutic bodywork. Her work is perfect for computer users with RSI, as she can recommend stretches and ergonomic strategies. Her intrigue and passion for massage is rooted in her fundamental curiosity about the human body and how things manifest somatically, her education from the Florida School of Massage and her continued education in a variety of massage modalities. Andy has over 9 years experience, and has studied under many prestigious bodyworkers including chiropractor Dr. Eric Rubin, rolfer Marty Morales, somatic therapist Paul Linn, ortho-bionomist Jim Berns, shiatsu practitioner Richard Seeber, ayurvedic practitioner Prashanti de Jager, Reiki master Claudia McGregor and trigger point therapist Mary Jenn of True Massage and Wellness.

My heart is with the families and loved ones of Vincent Anthony Siqueiros and Cameron Davis Capara, whose lives were tragically taken by hate on Monday here in Tucson

For the record, Body Altar Massage is a q***r-owned business in Tucson, AZ, and we’re committed to keeping it a safe, dignified, and welcoming place for everyone. 🏳️‍🌈

My wife and I are so grateful to live in Tucson and be part of such a vibrant, loving, and supportive community. From singing with Desert Voices, Tucson’s LGBTQIA+ choir, to the cherished le***an elders I work with, to all the amazing q***r businesses I’ve worked with, I feel more connected to my community in Tucson than I have in many of the "gayer" places that I’ve lived (SF, PDX, FL). It’s truly special here!

That being said, Tucson LGBTQIA+ community deserves spaces where we feel safe, so let’s hold each other close, stand together, and always choose love over hate.

Let’s dismantle the fascist toxicity permeating the air we breathe. Now is the time to hold yourself accountable & take action. Support & pay black businesses & organizations, sign petitions, make calls, protest, educate yourself & push yourself to do more, more, more. If you are complacent, I urge you to dig deep into your heart & unmask the shame that resides there so you may be of service to ALL humans. It’s never too late to evolve.

Boxes, books and more can be used to adjust your monitor and feet. A pillow in the low back can bring the curve back to your low spine and bring your eyes back into alignment with your head. 💥⁠
