Every clinical trial is led by a physician known as the Principal Investigator, often called the PI.
The Principal Investigator is responsible for overseeing the study, helping protect participant safety, ensuring the research follows regulatory requirements, and leading the medical aspects of the trial.
While the PI provides medical oversight, they work alongside a dedicated team that may include research coordinators, nurses, laboratory staff, and other healthcare professionals who help guide participants throughout the study.
Clinical research is a team effort, with every role focused on delivering high-quality care and advancing medical knowledge.
