Love your life!

I saw this quote and thought to myself this is me! I'm always taking pictures, telling people I love them, talking to strangers, trying out new things...

Life is short. Do that thing you've been dreaming of. Go to that place you've always wanted to go. Talk to that person you've been wanting to speak to. Just do it. Don't waste your life or your time. Stop letting fear get in the way. Even if you're scared do it anyway! You have nothing to lose. You will be so proud of yourself for trying and you will learn new things and grow in the process 💖

Right place at the right time! 🎾

So much fun watching 3 matches at the Watergen Tel Aviv open men's tournament yesterday with who I coach! I just so happened to be in the perfect spot to catch a ball hit by the winning player and then had the courage to ask him to sign my ball and take a selfie of us! What a sweet guy and an exciting moment for me 😍

Liam is ranked #135 in the world and beat the #35 player in the world. I loved watching the underdog fight till the end and not give up till he won. So many lessons to be learned from sports. Very inspiring 🌟

Also loved watching Diego Schwartzman, a Jewish player from Argentina ranked #17 in the world come so close to beating his open Arthur Rinderknech. He lost by 2 points in the tie breaker. Diego is 5'7 and his opponent was 6'5 and Diego managed to return most of his opponents massive serves up to 214 km per hour 😱 Amazing to witness and understand as a player and coach how much physical and mental work goes into competing at this level.

Loved that Israel brought in a pro tennis tournament and especially that Novak Djokovic the #7 player in the world is competing 🇮🇱 Thanks for helping me get tickets and being an awesome coach 💗

6 Ways To Be More Present

My daughter asked me how to be more present in her life and worry less about the past or future. I was so happy with her question because:

A. It means she understands the importance of being present
B. It's one of my favorite topics 😄

1. Breathe

It's really simple. Stop what you're doing & just focus on your breath. Don't talk, think, move, just stand/sit still & take 3 deep breaths in & out. Breathing brings you to the present moment because it makes you aware of yourself & your life source, oxygen, which helps calms you.

2. Notice what is around you

Pay attention to what you see. Notice the small things around you. Appreciate all the beauty, nature & details of the world that surrounds you.

3. Engage all your senses

While eating focus on the taste, touch, smell, sight, sound of the food/chewing. When in a pool or ocean focus on the feeling of the water on your skin, the smell, the sounds, the sights. When you engage all your senses you are fully present in the moment and are unlikely to worry about external thoughts or stress about the past or future.

4. Smile

Smiling makes us feel happy, positive appreciative and present. Smiling helps us feel more alive and connected to how we are feeling in the here and now.

5. Express Gratitude

Express out loud or in writing what you are grateful for. This will help you accept what is happening to you in the present moment & understand that everything you have is a gift & is as it should be.

6. Do something you love

When you engage in an activity you love (hiking, baking, art, sports..) you are fully immersed & present in the moment. You use all your mental & physical energy engaging in the activity rather then worrying about external thoughts/problems.

New painting!!

When friends, passion and business come together! So excited about this painting I made for my close friends Jordana and Adam. They wanted an abstract painting with purples and golds to match their bedroom. Mission accomplished!

Thank you Dorit Adler for my beautiful make up and pictures! You are so talented 😍

It's important for women to feel beautiful on the outside. Hair, makeup, clothes, jewelry, accessories, being fit and healthy. Whatever makes you feel good about yourself. It is even more important to feel beautiful on the inside. To appreciate all your strengths, good qualities and accomplishments. You are amazing 💖

Here are some self-love mantras to say to yourself going into the weekend:

1. I love myself
2. I am beautiful
3. I am doing my best
4. I will take it one day at a time
5. I can choose positive thoughts
6. I am confident with my decisions
7. I am worthy of love and good things
8. I surround myself with loving people
9. I can allow others to see me be happy
10. I am capable of doing anything I put my mind to

2 very happy customers!!

A close friend custom ordered a painting of their wedding logo as a surprise gift to his wife 💕 The Hebrew initials, ש and מ are attached and encircle one another. The painting symbolizes their love and commitment to each other. I am so honored to have my artwork hang in their new home in Israel! 🇮🇱 ❤

Thanks to my hubby for literally walking it over and hanging it on the wall with Menachem ⚒️

It feels amazing to be recognized and validated for doing what I love!

Take a Hike! 🚶‍♀️🏔

Yesterday was Tu B'shvat, the Jewish New Year of the trees in the land of Israel. In celebration I took my little girl on a hike before sunset last week (when it was warmer out!). We enjoyed a picnic surrounded by the beautiful vineyards of "Tuscany".

With the winter and covid still heavily upon us many people are sick, stressed, anxious and depressed.

In believe there is no better cure then movement and mindfulness in nature; connecting to the natural world around us while disconnecting from technology. Technology is constantly demanding our attention and preventing concentration taking a toll on our mental health. When we leave our cell phones and screens behind we can calm our minds and boost creative thinking.

Stepping outside, breathing fresh air, being surrounded by trees, mountains, water has a deeply healing affect on us. Being in nature remimds us that we are not in control and we must let go in order to attain peace of mind, body and soul.

I encourage you to go out, get some exercise and explore the world around you!! If it's cold bundle up with extra layers 🧥❄️ You will feel great afterwards 💪

This quote by Esther Perel is so beautiful. After hearing her say this in an interview I couldn't stop thinking about it.

What impression do we leave on others? How do we make them feel? Do people smile when they think of us? Do we touch their hearts and souls? These are big questions to ask ourselves.

I recently received 2 special messages from friends. 1 is a childhood friend who told me 25 years later that when we were young girls was like a mother to her in many ways. I helped her and gave her advice she needed when her single mother was often not available. She told me every girl needs a friend like you. I shared her message with my teenage children. I wanted them to know how important their friendships are. I wanted to them to know that they may be helping a friend in ways they will never realize. Keep being loving, a positive light, and a good influence on your peers.

Another friend told me how much my Instagram posts and messages help her and inspire her and how grateful she is for me. She said she appreciated how I choose to see positivity and light even in tough situations. It was special for me to hear this and gives me motivation to keep posting and sharing.

Hearing these messages I see that I did make these friends smile and touched their hearts. I will keep trying to do. Showing up here as my genuine self spreading love, positivity and empowering others to be their best selves every day ❤

A Thanksgiving blessing 🙏

Feeling overwhelming grateful now for my family and my life. Also feeling so much pain and sadness for those who lost or long for children of their own.

I am trying to enjoy the little moments in life. Especially moments with my children. My oldest son is a senior in high school. It is hard for me to accept that he will move out next year. Where did my little baby go? I am making an effort to shmooze, hug and appreciate him more.

Nothing is guaranteed. The only thing you have for sure is the present. I often pause, take a deep breath and have a moment of appreciation for my life. I look around and feel gratitude for what I have. Devorah Kay had her son one minute and the next he was gone..

Yesterday I visited the Kay family. Their son Eli was murdered this past Sunday morning in a terrorist attack in the Old City of Jerusalem while peacefully walking to the wailing wall. Devorah told me that Eli was friends with all the Arab shop owners he met as he walked through the market on the way to work every day. He just wanted to do good in the world and inspire others regardless of race or religion with his passion for life and Judaism.

Eli's father and brother both said that Eli lived life to the fullest and put his heart and soul into everything he did. They said his message to the world is whatever you do give it your all, give 100% and do it joyfully. Each of us has a different purpose and calling. Whatever yours may be do it with a full heart.

Enjoy and cherish the people in your life. Appreciate all your blessings. Breathe and be mindful of the present moment. Life is short, don't take your days for granted.

Happy Thanksgiving 🦃
