🤔 Stomach Bug or Something More?

You've probably seen the headlines about the Cyclospora parasite causing a surge in diarrheal illness across dozens of states.

Summer is supposed to be the time to relax, but for some, it brings along extra stressors. So often we want to go, go, and go some more, but perhaps your mind and body are telling you something different.

Do you find yourself not sleeping that well these days? Becoming easily irritated, unmotivated, and even distancing yourself from others? It may be time to slow down.

Not allowing yourself to take the time to adjust to stressors can cause high blood pressure, crippling anxiety, headaches, interrupted sleep, or no sleep at all. Not giving yourself time to process and breathe can cause strain on your personal and professional life.

Slowing down and managing stress is much easier said than done. Some quick tips are making sure you get to bed on time, putting devices away at least an hour before sleeping, spending more time outdoors (which has been hard with this Alabama rain,) trying to fit in an easy exercise, and talking to someone you can trust. Even if that's your local primary and urgent care provider.

At Crimson Care, we're here to listen. Don't hesitate to take that break. Your mind and body will thank you.
