01/24/2026

Happy 1 year Nakoa!!!

It has been such a crazy year for us with so many twists and turns, up and downs. Very happy to announce we are officially off ALL meds and have been doing so well!!

We are learning new things every day it seems! We understand (but can't or won't say) All Done, up, more, eat, come here, no, mama (we say that when we're tired), dada. Our favorite sound to say is "BAH" (not sure where that came from) but we can say many of our consonants sounds so developmently we are acing it!

Physically, we are also crushing it! Doctor made a comment about our big feet😳 We weigh over 20 pounds and are sitting at 30 inches tall. Just recently got our MMR, Hep A and Prevnar vaccines!

We've figured out how to crawl "normally" and do it more often but much prefer to army crawl. We've been practicing walking and standing with little assistance.

We are making new strides each and everyday and impress everyone around with how much we're learning!

Merry Christmas and happy 11 months!!🥳🥳

We have learned SO MUCH in the past month it's insane! Here's some bullet point to make it easier:

•we can climb up stairs
•we have crawled on our hands and knees (still prefer army crawling)
•we have started to let mommy and daddy know when we are done eating (All Done!)
•we are moving from furniture to furniture to floor
•we can climb up onto walkers and walk around the room with them

Mom thinks we're starting the process of getting our top teeth in👀

1 year has flown so quick, now mom and dad have a party to plan!

10 months!!

So many new things have happened!!

We can pull to stand on various kinds of furniture (from our tummy! We do not hands and knees crawl) we learned how to clap and a few days ago we figured out how to wave bye bye! We're also getting over some congestion and a slight cold☹️ Pediatrician loves how we're looking and developing though!!

We love walking around the house with whoever is willing to let us hold their fingers and will make sure we're taken wherever we want to go!

Maybe by 11 months we'll be walking!!

9 months!!

Late again😅

We have been practicing our walking (and running😳) with help and can stand with limited assistance. We now know Mama for sure and can say Dada but its not directed at Dada yet.

We have a cardiologist appointment coming up with a new cardiologist so mom and dad will keep everyone informed on what this one entails.

We've been doing fantastic medical wise and the mysterious rash we had has been getting much better/gone for the past few weeks. Mom and dad are thinking its sensitivities to certain foods so they're trying to do an elimination diet.

It's been almost a year! Isn't that crazy!?

8 months!!

(Way late😳)

WE'VE STARTED CRAWLING!! Now its an army crawl but man do we get places quick! We babble a form of "mama" (mom isn't counting it yet until its directed to her). We are just fitting into 9 month and some 12 month clothes and we eat various solid foods now!

We've been battling a massive rash the past few weeks though so mom and dad are having to figure out what the cause is. We also got sick for the first time and that was NOT fun🫩

Month 9 is not too far away🫣

7 months!!!!

As you can see we've hit some impressive milestones this month!!

We can now sit independently (for a max of maybe 15 minutes before we plop over🤣), we roll EVERYWHERE! Nowhere is safe from our rolling rampage. We've even kinda sorta started trying to figure out the whole crawling business 🫣 we also get VERY frustrated when we see a toy we want and can't reach it.

Maybe next month the teeth will finally start making their appearance🤣🤣

6 months!!!

Half a whole year of having Nakoa in our lives and its has been the most exciting and enjoyable time!

There's not too many new things we can do from last month. We've most definitely found our feet, can hold our bottle independently while we eat, however we do sometimes choose not to and make mom and dad hold it. In tummy time, we push up on our hands and will follow around toys in our peripheral. We also 100% recognize the bottle and will get so excited when its food time.

We're still trying to sit independently. And those stubborn teeth have not shown up yet! We get asked a lot if we're teething because that hand is in our mouth 24/7🤣

Next month is going to be an exciting one! It'll be the last time our meds go up with our weight and will be slowly weaning us off it as we get bigger. Maybe (hopefully) by age 1 we will be completely off it!!

5 months!! (May be a little late🫣)

There is so much more we can do now!

Hand eye coordination is top notch and now instead of crying normally when we're upset, we blow raspberries and spit everywhere!! We've most definitely found our voice, thanks to meeting our cousin Maddie finally, and now scream at the top of our lungs🤣🤣 We put weight on our legs more often when held in a standing position and we LOVE toys. It's hard when mom and dad forget them either in the car or at home and we're out for periods of time 😬

Also tried some real food over the weekend, wasn't too interested but doesn't hurt to try. Eats oatmeal like champ though💪 Attempting to roll from back to tummy but haven't gotten it yet and we still sit supported but mom and dad aren't worried! We'll get there!

As this is late, 6 month update probably won't be too far off and mom and dad are sure we'll look remotely the same🤣

Still no teeth though🤔

Might be a few days late on this one😅

4 months old!! And man have we grown!

We are currently sitting at a whopping 14lb 11oz (probably 15lbs now🤣) and 25 inches tall! 75th percentile for height!!

We can do so many things now! We can sit in a chair and hold our head up completely. We laugh and scream (yes I mean scream) and play with toys!! Soon (as in like tomorrow 😳) we will be attempting oatmeal in the mornings. No teeth yet though.

Maybe month 5 with be the start of the teething process🤔
