Valentine’s season at Canyons has been all about the people who make this place feel like home—our residents. 💗

Over the last few dayss we’ve shared so many moments of fun and connection: decorating cookies, playing games, and even at the Canyons Carnival. None of it is “just entertainment.” It’s laughter at the table, friendships that keep growing, stories being shared, and those simple moments that turn into real bonds.

To our residents: thank you for the joy, wisdom, and warmth you bring into our community every day. And to our staff: thank you for showing up with hearts that make every activity feel meaningful.

At Canyons, we would like to extend a very special and heartfelt thank you to our friends at Home Depot. This Christmas, they showed an incredible amount of compassion and generosity through our Adopt-a-Resident program, providing gifts and care for nearly one-third of our residents. The joy and gratitude that came from their kindness was truly felt throughout our community.

In addition to adopting residents, Home Depot also went above and beyond by donating Christmas trees, décor, storage bins, and utility carts helping make our holiday season brighter, more cheerful, and a little easier for our team to organize and store everything with care.

Their thoughtfulness has made a meaningful difference for our residents, and we want them to know just how deeply appreciated they are, not only by those who call Canyons home, but by all of us on the Canyons crew as well.

Wishing our friends at Home Depot the merriest of Christmases and all the very best in the New Year ahead.

Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve had the joy of celebrating Christmas with both our Assisted Living and Memory Care residents through several festive gatherings filled with laughter, connection, and holiday cheer. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, every one of our residents received thoughtful gifts—items that were both meaningful and useful, along with a few just-for-fun surprises that brought smiles all around.

It has truly been a beautiful holiday season, and we are deeply grateful for the compassion, kindness, and care shown by our community friends and families toward those who call Canyons home. These moments, and the love behind them, mean more than words can fully express.

We’re also sharing a collection of photos from these celebrations. You may notice a few duplicates, as several people were capturing the joy along the way, but we wanted to share them all so everyone can enjoy and relive these special moments together.

From all of us here at Canyons, thank you for being such an important part of our residents’ lives. Merry Christmas, and much love from our entire Canyons family.

Our Senior Residents are truly the heart of our community, and we love making every occasion special for them. With Christmas fast approaching, we’re inviting a few special Secret Santas to help us spread some holiday magic by “adopting” a resident this year. Each resident has a small wish list, individually made with their favorite things.
