After the Civil War, the era of the great cattle drives began. When multiple trail outfits met, cowboys from different ranches competed to prove who had the best hands. By 1931, Houston opened its rodeo for public entertainment.
Today, the rodeo circuit is a multi-million dollar industry featuring distinct events like: Ba****ck Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding, Bull Riding, Tie-Down Roping, Team Roping, Steer Wrestling, and Barrel Racing.

The Homeless:

Every person sleeping on cardboard was once a child with a favorite toy, a favorite song, and a dream of what they would grow up to be. I believe no one aspires to survive on a sidewalk that doubles as their mattress, but through a series of bad choices, this has become their reality.

When we look past someone on the street, we don’t just ignore their poverty—we ignore humanity.

Most admit this problem results from systemic failures, high living costs, untreated trauma, and severe mental health issues. So, if we know that, why can’t we solve the problem?

I don’t pretend to know what the solution is, but if we agree, “In America, anything is possible,” then why can’t we solve this social issue festering in American streets?
