Physical therapy and exercise is key to helping residents maintain quality of life. Different than rehabilitation, the goal of our physical therapy program is long-term maintenance. Our on-staff physical therapist maps out a program based on individual needs and personal goals, and the entire team, including Care Partners, works to ensure the resident participates daily. This team approach is highly beneficial and helps prevent decline in physical mobility, identifies mental and psychological conditions, and forms solid personal connections.

This team approach to resident care is unique to Meraki Assisted Living, and places the resident squarely in the center of our focus. 🌿

We understand how stressful it can be to find the right type of care for your loved one, or yourself. We've walked this path too. It's common to feel a title wave of emotions as you navigate this journey. Your emotions are valid and you are not alone. As you look around and consider your various options, here are a few tips to keep in mind.

✅ Learn as much as possible from health care professionals about the condition and diagnosis of your loved one.
✅ Maintain your own physical and mental health to ensure you can provide the highest quality of care to your loved one.
✅ Be prepared for change - it's one of the most challenging yet important aspects of caring for elderly or disabled loved ones.
✅ Educate yourself about ALL of the options available to you as your loved one's care needs evolve.

We've put together a list of resources on our website. Remember, you are doing the best you can and you are not alone! https://bit.ly/CareOptionsResources
