As our 50th summer comes to an end, we want to give a very special shoutout to the incredible staff, coaches, and volunteers who made another summer at LWSRA a success!

From our day camp and program leaders to our Titans team, coaches, volunteers, and office staff, these are the people behind LWSRA. Their hard work starts long before programs begin through training, preparation, and teamwork to ensure our participants have safe, meaningful, and fun experiences.

From starting their days with a workout in the gym to standing in the rain, cheering from the sidelines, leading activities, and putting smiles on our participants’ faces, their dedication made every moment possible.

We couldn’t do what we do without this amazing team. Thank you all for everything you do for LWSRA and making another memorable summer!

The rain didn’t stop us from celebrating the end of summer at our Party in the Park on Saturday, August 1! 🌧️🎉

We enjoyed hot dogs, hamburgers from Badda Bing’s, refreshing snow cones from Kona Ice, and wrapped up the afternoon with an amazing talent show featuring some of our campers. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the day so special! 🌭🍔🍧🎤

⚾ Bases Loaded – July 31 ⚾

Nothing says summer quite like a night at the ballpark! Our participants had a fantastic time watching the Windy City ThunderBolts take the field, cheering on the home team, and soaking up the fun atmosphere.

The ThunderBolts may not have gotten the win, but the evening was still a home run for our group. Between spending time with friends, enjoying the game, and treating themselves to some delicious funnel fries, there were plenty of smiles all around! 🍟

We couldn't have asked for a better final week! ☀️ Day Camp Week 8 was full of smiles, adventures, and unforgettable moments. Thank you to our friends at New Lenox Fire District for giving our campers a tour of their station! They had a blast! Campers also enjoyed activities like lunch at Portillo's, fishing, a trip to the movies, and so much more.

As we settle back into a much quieter office this week, we can't help but miss the laughter, smiles, and excitement that filled our days. Thank you to all of our amazing campers, families, and staff for making this summer so special. We loved spending another season creating memories, building friendships, and trying new adventures together.

We're already counting down the days until Summer Camp 2027 and can't wait to welcome everyone back for another amazing summer!

Week 7 was one for the books! 🌞

From outdoor adventures to exciting field trips, our campers stayed busy making new friends, trying new experiences, and creating lasting memories.

Our Hawkling and Youth campers explored Schussler Park, Lake Katherine, Tinley Junction Mini Golf, Round Barn Farm, the Manhattan Splash Pad, and Lincoln-Way Central Pool. They also enjoyed a visit from the fire department, created their own plush horses, and wrapped up the week with a Friday Funday at Pelican Harbor!

Our Teens spent the week swimming at Lincoln-Way Central Pool, cheering on the Windy City ThunderBolts, exploring Little Red School House, and taking a trip to Walmart.

Now it's time for our last week of camp, and we can't wait to make even more unforgettable memories together!
