What do you remember when you scroll back through old photos?
As I scroll back through old photos here on Facebook, I'm reminded of just how rich life has been.
These pictures bring back memories of laughter that carried me through some of the darkest days, friendships that shaped me, and moments that reminded me not to take life quite so seriously. They remind me that I've always had a good sense of humor, and that the journey to joy has often been just as important as building emotional strength.
It's easy to focus on hard work. In fact, I probably do that more now than ever before. And find it exhausting some days. But when I look at the story these photos tell, I see that my life is not simply the result of hard work. It's a culmination of passion, laughter, meaningful friendships, deep connections, lessons learned, tears shed, prayers answered, and a purpose that reaches out into eternity and beyond myself.
The older I get, the more I realize that success isn't measured only by what we've built, earned, or accomplished. It's also measured by the people we've loved, the people we've allowed to love us, the lives we've touched, the memories we've made, and the joy we've allowed ourselves to experience along the way.
What a gift it is to look back and see that even in the hardest seasons, there was still beauty being written into the story.
