Krapf Speech Services has speech therapy openings, with no wait list. I am a traveling private speech therapist in the Lehigh Valley providing home based, virtual, preschool, daycare, and private school sessions.

I have experience with expressive and receptive language, Gestalt Language Learners, pragmatic or social language skills, stuttering and cluttering, speech sound production disorders (articulation and phonology), and have extensive experience with AAC (augmentative alternative communication)and funding devices for clients.

I am a mom to a son on the spectrum who is a gestalt language learner, and has articulation errors, and difficulty with expressive, receptive, and pragmatic language, so I am immersed in speech and language at work and at home! I am a huge advocate for early intervention and parent and caregiver training! I also have been employed in the public school, early intervention, and outpatient settings which helpes me give tips to navigate IEPs and the school system! (My son also has an IEP so I have the perspective of both parent and team member)

I currently accept Capital Blue Cross Insurances, HSAs, and have affordable private pay similar to a copay!

I didn't even realize I had this much continuing education under my belt but I've recieved an award from The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association for completing 70 hours of continuing education over a 36 month period!

I am thankful for this recognition which shows how hard I work to stay up to date on research and information that will help my clients and families be more successful!

Many homes keep a screen or music playing in the background all day. It can feel harmless because nobody is actively watching. Yet constant noise gives the brain very few chances to experience quiet and recover from ongoing stimulation.

Silence is not empty for the brain. Quiet moments help attention reset, thoughts organize, and emotions settle. They also train the mind to ignore distractions. Without enough quiet time, filtering sounds and staying focused can become harder over time.

Background audio keeps part of the brain alert. Even when ignored, changing voices, beats, and sudden sounds can pull attention in small ways. These repeated interruptions may create restlessness, shorter focus, and a constant need for fresh stimulation during tasks.

Children can be especially sensitive because their attention systems are still developing. If noise is always present, deep play, reading, problem solving, and imagination may become more difficult. The mind learns to expect input instead of creating focus from within.

Parents can help by building quiet spaces into the day. Turn devices off when not needed, lower noise during play, and protect moments without media. Silence is not missing something. It is where attention, calm, and deeper thinking grow strongest.

☀️We are adding tutoring services to the list of services we are able to provide. Our masters level certified teacher can help your K-8 student stay fresh with their math, reading, writing, and science skills. Reach out for more information or to book a virtual or in person session!

☀️Dont forget our language enrichment sessions if you want your child to work on language based reading, writing skills or general concepts such and inferences, context clues which boost reading comprehension, and writing skills (these are foundational skills for academic success, and essential test taking skills). We provide a language screening and/or full testing to ensure you child has age appropriate skills, and then target skills of your choice that are later developing to help your child get a head start!
