Happy day 3 of World Breastfeeding Week!

Pumping is a huge part of so many lactating moms’ lives. It’s a way for us to continue providing breastmilk for our babies while separated for whatever reason. But I can personally attest through personal and professional experiences that not all pumps are created equal! Share your pumping thoughts and experiences, good and bad☺️

•Flange inserts•
These cute little silicone fl**ge inserts are like tiny cushions for your ni***es! 😆 Most pumps come with standard size fl**ges (usually 24mm and 28mm) but one or two sizes simply do NOT fit all. These inserts change the size of a too large fl**ge for a more comfortable and secure fit. This leads to an overall better pumping experience and more effective milk removal. If you don’t know what fl**ge size you should be using, reach out to an IBCLC 💁🏼‍♀️ for fitting!

✨Silicone Milk Collector✨

A silicone milk collector or silicone breast pump is a device that suctions to the breast to collect milk that leaks out. The gentle suction will hold the pump on without adding stimulation.

These pumps are generally used on one side while nursing on the opposite side. They are great for catching the milk you would normally leak during a letdown that would otherwise be lost!

Silicone breast pumps can also be used to relieve clogged ducts or sore ni***es. (Fill it with warm water and epsom salt solution and attach to the breast!)

As a lactation consultant and mama that has breastfed, I recommend a silicone breast pump for every breastfeeding mom. It makes collecting and storing extra milk 100% easier. (Something mamas are always worried about!)
