Dawn McGee, Nutrition Evangelist I work with Wellness Professionals as well as consumers with complex health stories to help both create more successful and fun habits in their worlds.

I believe that we all have the right to look good and feel good, no matter how old we are. I teach women how to get off the sidelines and start enjoying their lives, all while eating foods they love. As an IBNFC certified coach, I am constantly looking for ways to bring more innovation and fun to my clients. I have been in the health and wellness industry for over 10 years. I put the fun back into

being healthy, working with women who are sick of being on the diet roller coaster and are ready for sustainable results. As a Certified and Licensed Nutrition Coach, I have worked with dozens of women to help them achieve their health goals. Initial engagements start with an 8 week package. Following that, we can work on a month by month basis or longer 6-12 month packages. I can also customize a semi-private group offering, or a workplace wellness package. Call, email, or DM me for more details, or to set up a complimentary consultation.

The Peace patch is one of my faves. It reduces that nagging feeling of “did I forget to do something I was supposed to?” and overall lets me better manage my stress.
The last year of my life has had a lot of loss and stress and it can be a bear to manage. This makes it a little lighter for me which makes me a nicer person to be around. What is causing stress in your life?

You don't have to be completely ON or completely OFF.

I recently visited southern Quebec, enjoying wineries, gorgeous views, time with friends, and a much-needed break after four full days of volleyball and pickleball. 🍷🏔️

And yes... I've done a little work while I've been on vacation.

Before vacation, I finished rewriting the content for my website and handed everything over to my web designer and VA team.

They implemented it.
I reviewed it.
We made a few edits.

And the whole thing took less than an hour of my vacation time.

That's the kind of balance that works for me.

I don't need to completely disconnect to feel refreshed. I need to know what only I can do, what someone else can do better or faster, and when it's time to put everything down and go enjoy myself.

And that's really the point:
Balance doesn't have to look the same for everyone.

Maybe you need to completely unplug.
Maybe you need childcare for an afternoon so you can reset.
Maybe you need to delegate something you've been holding onto in your business.
Maybe you simply need permission to stop doing everything yourself.

There is no gold star for making life harder than it needs to be.

💬 So tell me: What does a healthy balance of work, rest, and fun actually look like for YOU?

I used to keep a mental list of all the things I wanted to do "one day."
The problem?
One day never came.

Then I started putting those projects on my calendar.
Not the entire project.
Just one small step.

Amazing how quickly "someday" turns into "done" when it has a place in your schedule.

What's sitting on your someday list right now?

Meal planning isn't about eating perfectly.

It's about making decisions ahead of time that support the goals you've already decided are important to you.

When you plan your meals, you're less likely to rely on convenience or cravings in the moment. Instead, you're creating a routine that makes healthy choices feel easier and more sustainable.

A little planning today can save you time, reduce stress, and help you stay consistent with your wellness goals.

In this blog, Dr. Barbara L. Katz shares why meal planning is one of the simplest habits you can build for long-term health and weight management, along with practical tips to help you get started.

We all have that one project we've been meaning to tackle.

The course.
The website.
The office.
The book.
The new offer.

Instead of waiting for the "perfect time," try this:

✨ Choose just one project
Don't overwhelm yourself by trying to finish everything at once. Focus on one thing.

✨ Break it into bite-sized tasks
Instead of "Create a course," write down the individual steps like outline the modules, record lesson one, or design the workbook.

✨ Put those tasks on your calendar
If it's not scheduled, it's easy to keep putting it off. Treat it like any other important appointment.

✨ Celebrate progress, not perfection
Small, consistent action will always beat waiting for a free weekend that never comes.

The projects that change your business rarely happen in one big burst of motivation.

They happen because you kept showing up, one small step at a time.

What's one project you've been saying you'll get around to "someday"?

Every appointment you schedule today shapes tomorrow.

Every priority you protect creates the future you're hoping for.

Planning isn't about control.

It's about creating space for what matters.
