From pioneers in healthcare and education to veterans, advocates, community builders and everyday difference-makers, these stories remind us that history isn’t only found in books—it lives in the people around us.

Created as part of the USA 250 | CO 150 celebration, Our People | Our Legacy honors the contributions of those who came before us while inspiring all of us to consider the legacy we continue to build.

Investing in Team Members, Investing in Residents 🌟
We're proud to share that Christian Living Communities recently brought together 12 dedicated associates from five of our communities for a hands-on Mentor Training event!
One of the most powerful moments? Our Empathy Training activity, where participants wore specialized gear designed to simulate physical limitations many residents experience every day — from limited mobility to reduced vision and dexterity. Walking (literally) in residents' shoes builds the kind of understanding that can't be taught from a manual.
This training is part of CLC's Mentor Program, built to:
✅ Support new associates as they learn our culture, values, and the "unwritten rules" that make CLC feel like family
✅ Recognize experienced associates for their skill and heart for service
✅ Strengthen job satisfaction and retention across our communities
✅ Create a stable environment where every associate can learn and grow
When we invest in our team, we're investing in the quality of life for every resident we serve. 💛

More than 70 CLC community members gathered on Wednesday at Holly Creek Life Plan Community to celebrate the impact that scholarships have had on the lives of team members and their families. Attendees enjoyed a wonderful breakfast sponsored by Duet Dining. They heard firsthand from scholarship recipients how their lives and their work have been transformed, including greater confidence, better clinical judgments, and lifelong dreams realized. One message that stood out above all is that when you invest in people, you create opportunities that transform lives for team members, their families, and the residents they support!

SPARK:2026, CLC-Cappella’s Annual Leadership Summit, brought more than 90 leaders from across our organization for a day and a half of fellowship, fun, and learning. Our Keynote Speaker Reagan Cannon shared great tips on empowering teams with clarity and confidence, and we heard from residents and team members about how our CLC Citizenship Model of Community Life is making a difference. We made time for fun at Basketball Social House; our Duet Dining team are fierce competitors! We wrapped up with Time to Shine, a time for each community to share what they are working on and are proud of. And we wrapped up the Summit with our annual CLC-Cappella Awards! SPARK is a highlight of our year; we are blessed with so many amazing leaders!
