Healing doesn't happen overnight—and that's okay. 💜

For survivors, healing is not a straight line. Some days may feel lighter, while others may bring unexpected challenges. Every step forward, no matter how small, is meaningful.

There is no "right" timeline for healing. Give yourself grace, celebrate your progress, and remember that asking for support is a sign of strength, not weakness.

If you or someone you know is navigating the healing journey after abuse, sexual assault, or stalking, RAVE is here to provide support, advocacy, and resources. You don't have to go through it alone.

Knowing your rights can make a difference. In Michigan, survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, or stalking may be able to end their lease early to move to a safer place without paying for the remainder of the lease, if certain legal requirements are met. Learn more about your options and available protections.

If you or someone you know needs support, contact the National Domestic Violence Hotline or the Michigan Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence. You can also reach out to RAVE for help, resources, and support. You are not alone. 💜

MUST KNOW MONDAY

3 Must-Knows About Domestic & Sexual Violence 💜

Knowledge can empower us to recognize abuse, support survivors, and build safer communities.

1. Abuse is about power and control.
Domestic and sexual violence are not caused by stress, anger, or relationship challenges. They are patterns of behavior used to gain and maintain power and control over another person.

2. Everyone deserves safe, healthy relationships.
Healthy relationships are rooted in respect, trust, honest communication, and consent. No one deserves abuse, intimidation, coercion, or violence.

3. Help is available.
If you or someone you know is experiencing abuse, you don't have to navigate it alone. Advocates are here to listen, provide resources, answer questions, and help you explore your options without judgment or pressure.

Every conversation helps break the silence. Every act of support helps build a safer community.

💜 You deserve to feel safe. You deserve to be heard. You deserve support.

As we welcome a new month, we hope it brings moments of peace, healing, and hope.

May your mornings feel lighter, your evenings calmer, and your days filled with small moments that make you smile.

May you be surrounded by kindness, encouraged by good news, and reminded that brighter days are possible. May you stay grounded in your strength, practice grace with yourself, and know that healing doesn't have to happen all at once.

Whether you're beginning a new chapter or simply taking the next step forward, we hope this month holds a quiet kind of magic—a reminder that you deserve safety, joy, and the chance to thrive.

Here's to new beginnings, gentle moments, and hope that grows one day at a time. 💜

Happy International Friendship Day! 💜✨

A good friend reminds you to laugh a little louder, smile a little bigger, and believe in yourself a little more.

Today, we're celebrating the friends who listen without judgment, check in "just because," offer a shoulder to lean on, and remind us that we're never alone.

If someone you care about is experiencing domestic or sexual violence, one of the most powerful things you can do is simply be there. Listen. Believe. Support. Sometimes friendship can be the first step toward healing.

Tag a friend who makes your world a little brighter and let them know how much they mean to you.

You are enough.

Not because of what you've survived.
Not because of what you've overcome.
Not because of what you do for others.

You are enough simply because you are you.

If you've experienced domestic or sexual violence, know this: your worth has never been defined by someone else's actions. You deserve to be treated with dignity, respect, and compassion. Your voice matters. Your healing matters. Your future matters.

Today, we hope you'll carry this reminder with you:
✨ You are worthy.
✨ You are valued.
✨ You are enough.

If you or someone you know needs support, our advocates are here to listen, believe, and help.
