We had a full house at our Lei Making Workshop, where participants created beautiful floral leis using a colorful selection of fresh and exotic flowers.

Held in celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, the workshop offered an opportunity to explore the art and cultural significance of traditional Hawaiian lei making.

We learned basic techniques while gaining insight into the role of lei as a symbol of connection, respect, and celebration in Hawaiian culture.

The room was filled with creativity, conversation, and the fragrance of tropical blooms as everyone crafted their own unique designs. It was a fun and engaging experience, and we loved seeing the smiles and finished creations at the end of the workshop.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the event such a success.

Ever walk into a room and forget why you went there? Or find yourself picking up your phone without even realizing it? In a world full of notifications, messages, and endless distractions, staying focused can feel harder than ever. But what if the problem isn't your attention span at all?

The answer may have more to do with how our brains respond to the modern world than most of us realize. https://f.mtr.cool/twcexesfuc

At 16, Zach Dyce was called to pick up his intoxicated father after a serious accident. Years later, after losing his mother to an opioid overdose, he chose to turn that experience into action instead of letting it define him.

Now he’s building an AI platform aimed at helping behavioral health providers spend less time fighting paperwork and more time helping people recover. Not every tech story starts with disruption. Some start with survival. https://f.mtr.cool/hrxyavpfnq

Why does Netflix always seem to know what you’ll binge next? Or Uber Eats somehow suggest the exact food you’re craving?

The recommendation systems behind these platforms are incredibly powerful, but they do more than shape what we watch or order. They can also impact restaurants, drivers, creators, and small businesses in ways most people never see.

Now, a new approach is rethinking how these algorithms work, not just to keep people clicking, but to create a better experience for everyone involved. https://f.mtr.cool/abceeyrqab

Summer Scamper is more than a 5K run. It is a fun, family-friendly community event that brings people together while supporting vital child and maternal health programs at Stanford Medicine. Join us for a 5K run, walk, or kids’ fun run, and family festival. It is a great opportunity for individuals, families, and company teams to connect, stay active, and give back.

Most people think police encounters escalate because of actions. But sometimes it starts much earlier, with tone, attitude, and a few words that instantly make someone feel respected… or threatened. “Here’s why I stopped you” and “License and registration” can lead to two completely different outcomes. https://f.mtr.cool/eskatxdhtm

It starts as fun. Then sleep gets worse, school slips, and family time disappears. For more teens, gaming is becoming more than just a hobby, and parents often miss the warning signs until it begins affecting everyday life. Knowing what to look for early can make all the difference. Healthy boundaries today can prevent much bigger struggles tomorrow. https://f.mtr.cool/lhnddpdwpi
