Association Soma offers a range of upcoming School for Body-Mind Centering® courses in France.

They offer courses throughout the year through the Somatic Movement Education Program, Infant Developmental Movement Education Program, and Practitioner Program.

Upcoming courses include Senses and Perception 1, Integration of the Body Systems and Developmental Movement 2, Skeletal System, Client Assessment and Therapeutic Approaches, New Frontiers, Organ System, Basic Neurocellular Patterns, Primitive Reflexes, Righting Reactions and Equilibrium Responses, Ontogenetic Development, and more.

Courses are taught in French and English, with consecutive translation. Many School for Body-Mind Centering® courses may be taken individually, without commitment to an entire program.

Tessura, an authorized organization of the School for Body-Mind Centering®, is beginning new Somatic Movement Education (SME) and Infant Developmental Movement Education (IDME) Program cycles this fall in Belgium, with some courses also offered in the Netherlands.

Tessura will host two online information meetings on Thursday, September 17, at 11:00 AM and 7:00 PM (Belgium time), for those interested in learning more about the programs.

Courses are taught in English, with translation of individual terms and sentences into French and Dutch. Many courses may be taken individually or as part of the full certification program.

The Primitive Reflexes, Righting Reactions, and Equilibrium Responses are the fundamental elements—the alphabet—of our movement.

Underlying successful, effortless movement are integrated reflexes, righting reactions, and equilibrium responses. Reflexes establish basic survival patterns of function. Righting reactions support the development of an upright posture against gravity and a continuous head-torso axis. Equilibrium responses maintain balance as our center of gravity shifts through space in relationship to our base of support.

This course explores these fundamental building blocks of human movement and their roles in readiness for relating to earth and heaven, gathering and reaching, taking hold and letting go, weight bearing, rolling, vertical uprightness, locomotion, and equilibrium.

Currently scheduled in **8 countries**, Primitive Reflexes, Righting Reactions, and Equilibrium Responses is part of both the Somatic Movement Education Program and Infant Developmental Movement Education Program. The course may also be taken independently, without a commitment to an entire program.

This October, Embody Move is starting a new cycle of the School for Body-Mind Centering® Somatic Movement Education Program in the United Kingdom.

The Somatic Movement Education Program offers an in-depth exploration of embodied anatomy, developmental movement, perceptual development, and the integration of body and mind through the Body-Mind Centering® approach.

Designed for those who wish to deepen their personal embodiment as well as movement educators, bodyworkers, healthcare practitioners, therapists, dancers, yoga teachers, and others interested in the study of movement and consciousness, the program leads to certification through the School for Body-Mind Centering®. Individual courses may also be taken without enrolling in the full program.

Fascia provides the tensegrity matrix of the whole body. It wraps around all other structures as a continuous, spiraling, multilayered network of sheaths, containers, and specialized attachments. These specialized attachments are the ligaments.

The Ligamentous and Fascial System course will be offered October 24–30, 2026, through Moving Within, an authorized organization of the School for Body-Mind Centering®.
