Feeling STUCK? This one is for you…

Summer 2017.

One of many weekends spent outside of passing out flyers for our little Boot Camp while still working full time at the physical therapy clinic.

My mom and my cousin (artist formerly known as Papi Jay) came down from Iowa to visit me during my first few months living in South Florida.

At the time, weekends were everything because it was really the only chance I had to try and grow this tiny fitness business while working full time at the physical therapy clinic.

We gave away free classes, free sessions, free smoothies… anything just to get people to try us out.

I approached hundreds of people outside that store that summer.

3 people tried a class.

0 signed up 😆

Honestly… I just wasn’t that good yet.

But over time…systems got better, coaching got better, results became undeniable, my confidence grew and the word got out about the impact we were making.

Now in our 10th Year going Strong, Guzzo Fitness proudly coaches now coaches clients across 20 states and provinces throughout North America.

We’ve not only coached and helped thousands of clients to improve their health and overall fitness level but we’ve hosted nearly 150 Saturday beach workouts, charity events for the Kids in Distress and Women in Distress of Broward County, countless transformation challenges, multiple destination retreats (every time zone except the one we will be in July 🙂) and are officially the 1st fitness City sponsored Beach Fitness program in Hollywood history every single Saturday morning.

I don’t say this to pump myself up, it’s really just crazy honestly looking back at it all lol.

I say all this because if you’re in a season right now where things feel slow, frustrating or uncertain…

Keep going.

The beginning stages of anything worthwhile are usually uncomfortable.

Just focus on getting a little better day by day and keep showing up.

Nurse. Mom. Warrior.

At 50 years young, was doing all the right things… or at least most of them.

She knew her nutrition. She understood the science. She even had a full home gym in her garage.

But finding the motivation to use it was a different story.

Working 10 hour days, driving her daughter an hour each way to school every morning, and getting home close to 7pm left very little in the tank for herself.

Her hormones were shifting, her A1C was creeping toward pre-diabetes territory, and for the first time in years the scale was moving in the wrong direction.

As a nurse practitioner she sees every day what happens when people don’t take care of themselves.

She decided she wasn’t going to be one of them.

In just 10 weeks…

✅ Down 9 pounds and 1.5 inches off her waist
✅ Scrub pants went from a medium to a small
✅ Visible muscle definition for the first time in years
✅ Getting stronger every week, moving up in weights consistently
✅ Confidence to walk into any gym and train completely on her own

And she’s had to roll down the waistband on her shorts just to keep them on.

But the biggest win isn’t on the scale.

Michelle is now preparing to take on the Murph at the end of May. A 1 mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 squats, and another 1 mile run.

That’s not someone who’s struggling. That’s someone who found her strength again.

What helped her most were the daily check ins, 30 minute customized workouts that fit her schedule, and support that made her feel like she was never doing this alone.

A lot of people think online coaching won’t give them real support.

This program proved the opposite.

You don’t need a perfect schedule. You don’t need perfect willpower. You just need a plan that fits your life and someone in your corner every step of the way.

Michelle is proof that at 50 years young, with a full life and zero spare time, real results are still very much possible.

Huge shout out to a great friend and client of mine 💪

He has just completed his 1 on 1 Program we started at the beginning of the year, taking off 10.5 inches, (3 of which came from his waist) and 22.5 lbs! 🔥

Another exciting change is that he mentioned he’s feeling a lot better in his clothes and has even gone from fitting into a large size T-shirt to a medium size T-shirt.

Not to mention, he’s sleeping much better and he did all this while still being the man he needs to be for his wonderful family of five who I’ve gotten to become very close with over the past few years.

And while juggling the responsibilities as a business owner. Add in some travels and it definitely makes for a lot of obstacles to overcome.

However, he did it! 👏

The most important thing for Dan after chatting at length about this was that this time he didn’t feel like he was white knuckling the process.

Fighting to reach a number or reach a specific result. He enjoyed this process. Dan will tell himself that the process is the prize!

That’s actually something that he has taught me on a more deeper level along the way.

He’s been an asset in our community and will continue to be moving forward and he has been a guest on a few very impactful Mindset Clinics in our community 😎

He and I were together two years ago and we saw fast results, but the funny thing is we actually saw more results and got to a lower weight this time around while focusing more on sustainability and enjoying the process.

What a concept!

It’s been a lot of fun working with Dan and seeing his progress. With all the responsibility she has in his life.

He had every excuse in the book, but he did not use them. He followed the system that we put in place and executed!

Last but at least, don’t you dare challenge Dan to a 80’s, 90’s or early 2000’s funny movie “trivia dual” …. He will leave victorious 😆 ⚔️
