Strength doesn't mean silence. 💙

Men in the U.S. account for nearly 80% of all su***de deaths — yet they are far less likely than women to seek mental health treatment.

The reasons are complex: cultural pressure to appear strong, stigma around vulnerability, fear of judgment, and simply not knowing that support exists.

But here's what we know: asking for help takes more courage than suffering in silence.

If you're a man who's been carrying something alone — PBHG is here. No judgment. Just support.

We're asking our community a simple question this Men's Mental Health Month:

What does it look like when someone really shows up for you?

Is it a text that says 'thinking of you'? A friend who just listens? A colleague who notices when something's off?

Tell us in the comments — we want to hear your story. 💙👇

June is Men's Mental Health Month — and National PTSD Awareness Month. 💙

Two important reasons to keep the mental health conversation going.

Men in the U.S. die by su***de nearly four times more often than women. Yet men are significantly less likely to seek mental health support — often because of stigma, cultural messaging around strength, and not knowing where to start.

This month, we're challenging that silence. We're talking about what men's mental health actually looks like — and making sure every man in our community knows that help is here.

PBHG provides outpatient mental health services for adults across Ocean and Monmouth Counties, NJ — for everyone, including the men who haven't asked for help yet.

✨This Children’s Mental Health Awareness Month, we want to share one of the most powerful shifts a parent can make: practicing Unconditional Positive Regard.
It’s the practice of accepting and valuing your child no matter how they behave — separating who they are from what they do.

Kids who grow up with this carry it forward — into how they see themselves, how they show up in friendships, and how they handle hard times. 💫
The mantra to remember: “I don’t like this behavior, but I always love and value YOU.”

Want to put this into practice? Our team at COMPASS by Preferred Behavioral Health Group, a program of NJ4S, offers a free Tier 1 parent program called Nurtured Heart Approach — built around this exact concept.

Nearly 20 million young people in the U.S. have a diagnosable mental health condition. 📊

SAMHSA's 2026 policy report on Serious Emotional Disturbances in children, youth, and young adults offers a sobering — and hopeful — look at what we know about children's mental health and what it takes to change outcomes.

This month, we're sharing some of the most important findings — because awareness without knowledge isn't enough.

Swipe through for the key stats, what they mean for families in NJ, and how PBHG is working every day to close the gap. 👉

Today we pause to honor the brave men and women who gave everything in service to this country. 🇺🇸

On Memorial Day, we hold space for gratitude and for grief.

We also recognize that the weight of service, loss, and sacrifice doesn't end when the uniform comes off. The mental health toll on veterans, active-duty service members, and military families is real, and it deserves the same attention and compassion we give to any other health need.

If you or someone you love is navigating the emotional aftermath of military service, PBHG is here. We provide outpatient mental health services for adults across Ocean and Monmouth Counties, NJ, with telehealth available.

Thank you to all who served. 🤍
