Another Safe Haven Baby Box coming to Morgan County! We have one in Decatur at Decatur Morgan and now this one in Hartselle at the Cullman Regional ER. This is wonderful news!
A new Safe Haven Baby Box will soon be available in Hartselle, providing parents experiencing a crisis with a secure, legal and anonymous way to safely surrender a newborn.
To mark the opening, Safe Haven Baby Boxes and the City of Hartselle will host a blessing and dedication ceremony on Tuesday, July 7, at 2 p.m. The event will take place at the Hartselle ER inside Hartselle Health Park, located at 1549 U.S. Highway 31.
Once operational, the Hartselle location will be the 456th Safe Haven Baby Box installed nationwide and the 23rd in Alabama, increasing access to a life-saving resource for families facing overwhelming circumstances.
According to Safe Haven Baby Boxes founder , the organization is committed to supporting mothers both before and after a surrender takes place.
"Our mission is to provide complete anonymity while ensuring mothers know they have a safe option and access to support for both themselves and their baby," Kelsey said.
Residents are encouraged to attend the ceremony to learn more about how the Safe Haven Baby Box program works and how it offers a confidential, legal alternative that helps protect infants while providing hope for parents in crisis.
