Wow thanks for sharing!

I’ve been practicing my jammy egg preparation and have taken to soaking them in a soy marinade afterwards to make for a pretty easy and absolutely delicious snack. Here’s how I do it:
•
1. Boil a pot of water & prepare an ice bath.

2. Add eggs to water AFTER IT STARTS BOILING! Then set a timer for 6.5 minutes.

3. In another saucepan add 1 c soy sauce, 1/2 c water, a bit of sugar(think a spoonful or two depending on how sweet you like things), some garlic, maybe a sliced up scallion or hot peppers, whatever you have on hand, and bring that to a boil. Then let it boil for 10ish minutes to reduce a bit.

4. When your egg timer goes off, immediately dunk your eggs into the ice bath. Let them rest there while your sauce finishes reducing.

5. Peel your eggs, this should be very easy if you added them to the water after it started boiling, used an ice bath, and gave them a really solid cracking.

6. Add peeled eggs and the soy marinade to a container and let them sit over night.

7. Enjoy your jammy eggs split in half, with a bit of the marinade, some salt and pepper, and maybe some sesame seeds on top.

Shout out to Banh Mi Pho Shop for introducing me to these delectable eggs! And big thanks to my chef friend Morgan for the tips on perfectly boiling an easy peel egg.
