Walking barefoot on hot pavement, pool decks, and sandy trails is a summer ritual. But going barefoot exposes your feet to burns, puncture wounds, fungal infections, and structural stress.
Especially if you already have neuropathy or reduced sensation. If you can't feel what you're stepping on, barefoot isn't freedom. It's risk.
