✨ A Collaborative Approach to TMJ Care ✨

Two Sparrows Wellness is proud to collaborate with Ramberg Dental to support patients experiencing TMJ-related concerns. If you’re dealing with jaw discomfort, clenching, grinding, or related symptoms, schedule an evaluation to better understand what may be contributing to your concerns and discuss options tailored to your needs.

Common concerns may include:

• Jaw pain or tenderness
• Teeth clenching or grinding
• Facial muscle tension
• Headaches associated with jaw tension
• Discomfort or difficulty when chewing

Our care process includes three steps:

① Evaluation and diagnosis
An experienced dentist and nurse practitioner will review your symptoms, medical history, and oral health to help determine whether your concerns may be related to TMJ dysfunction.

② Comprehensive laboratory evaluation
Lab work may be recommended to provide additional information about your overall health and support treatment planning.

③ Consultation and personalized treatment plan
We’ll review your evaluation and results, discuss your diagnosis, answer your questions, and explain treatment options that may be appropriate for your needs and goals.

Depending on your evaluation and diagnosis, treatment options may include:

• Oral appliance therapy
• Laser therapy
• Botulinum toxin injections
• Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections

These treatments may be considered individually or as part of a comprehensive treatment plan when clinically appropriate.

Great day with horses (and dogs, chickens and guineas … my favorite). Worked on very different horses and each session was very customized to the horse. From strengthening to compensation to horsemanship to collection and activation to cavalettis to nervous system regulation we covered a lot of ground. Blow my phone up with questions and follow up messages. It can be so much information but the take away is - you have great horses that love their job, they bring you joy and they meet you at the gate. Having me out is like checking your oil before the check engine light comes on 💛.

Enjoying the last few days of summer cause it’s going to be over before we know it (and I’m secretly so excited for sweaters and no flies…) !

So happy to finally have my guy home and having the time to enjoy him . Lots of pampering going on for this growing kid. Send me a message if you’ve got a horse that could use some bodywork too:)

This could be amazing for those of you with neck and scalp tension! I can’t wait to try it. Also, relaxation serves to help the entire body. If you find a service that allows you to access your parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest), that is allowing you to access your healing side so don’t discount whatever works for you!

Could have been some great pics but was too busy working .
It surprises people to hear that I find equine work so much easier on my body. The contact with hair is so different than the friction of skin when it comes to my hands / thumbs. I use more tools with horses, my posture changes more - not leaning my body weight constantly forward and down to the table. Also the atmosphere of not having to hold quiet space can be mentally easier, that one is hard to explain but the horse just appreciates the stretch / release without any expectation of atmosphere/ service . I need to think more on that to articulate it. Yesterdays sessions the owners were present at all of them and we had some great conversations about specific maneuvers and how it correlated to what I was finding . It was the kind of day that lights my brain up and gives me so much joy to connect with these horses and people.

Spent the last four days completing the Muscular Rehab Therapist course with Summer Terry . I also had the opportunity to bring Summer out to my barn for a day of sessions on both my own horses, and client horses to really immerse the education. She really helped me with my assessment process and gave me a whole new perspective on stretching and range of motion. I think I’ve successfully challenged and stretched myself this summer with continuing education. I need some time now to get back to working on horses and let the new information settle into my practice.
It’s been a busy few months !! My human appointments are currently booking into October and my equine availability is booking up in September.
