✨ Wellness Wednesday: What does a “reset” actually mean?

When you hear the words Reiki Reset, you might picture someone who already knows all about energy work, meditates every morning, understands their chakras, and can somehow magically quiet their brain on command.

That is absolutely not a requirement. 🤍

You don’t have to know anything about Reiki.

You don’t have to know how to meditate.

You don’t have to understand energy or chakras.

And you definitely don’t have to be able to “clear your mind.”
(Because if that were a requirement, a whole lot of us would be in trouble. 😂)

A reset, to me, is simply an opportunity to stop carrying everything for a little while.

To settle into a quiet space.

To let yourself receive instead of constantly doing.

To give your mind, body, and soul a little room to exhale.

Reiki is a gentle practice, and your only job during a session is to show up exactly as you are.

Tired? Come tired.
Overstimulated? Come overstimulated.
Curious but slightly skeptical? You can bring that too.
Never tried anything like this before? Even better — I’ll walk you through it.

There is no perfect way to receive Reiki.

And that is part of what inspired something new I’ll be introducing soon:

🌿 The Reiki Reset. 🌿

A simple, approachable way to step away from the noise for a little while and give yourself permission to just… be.

More soon. ✨

🍂 Teaching Tuesday: Let’s Talk Cinnamon

There are certain scents that seem to tell your whole body, “Okay… it’s time to get cozy.”

For me, cinnamon is one of them. 🤎

Most of us know cinnamon for its warm, sweet-spicy aroma — the smell of fall baking, warm drinks, holidays and kitchens that feel like home. But cinnamon has been treasured for centuries for much more than its scent.

🌿 Traditionally, cinnamon has been associated with warmth, abundance, protection and prosperity. Its rich aroma can make a space feel comforting and welcoming, which is one of the reasons I love adding it to seasonal simmer pots.

When I create a simmer pot, I’m not just thinking about what smells good.

I think about how the ingredients work together, the feeling I want the blend to create, and sometimes even the intention I want to bring into the space.

And cinnamon?

It brings that unmistakable feeling of warmth and home. 🍎🍂

That’s part of what we’ll be exploring during Sunday’s Simmer Pot Class — creating something beautiful and fragrant while learning a little about the ingredients we’re putting into it.

Because sometimes making your home feel a little more peaceful can be as simple as a pot on the stove, a few thoughtfully chosen ingredients, and permission to slow down for a while. 🤎

Happy Labor Day. 🌿🇺🇸

Today’s Mindful Monday reminder feels especially appropriate:

You are allowed to put the work down.

Whether your work happens in an office, on the road, inside your home, in a treatment room, behind a small-business counter — or somehow all of the above — today can simply be a day to breathe.

I’ll be doing a little less doing and a little more being today.

I hope you find some space for that too. 💜

Nature’s Path will be back to our regularly scheduled cozy September shenanigans tomorrow. 🍂☕

A Slow Sunday. 🌿

No checklist today.

No reminder to be productive.

No list of things you should be doing before Monday.

Just your permission slip to enjoy something today simply because it feels good.

Drink the coffee while it’s hot.
Sit outside a little longer.
Read another chapter.
Take the nap.
Go somewhere beautiful.
Put your phone down.

Rest doesn’t need to accomplish anything to be worthwhile. 💜

What does your Slow Sunday look like?

A little September magic is brewing at Natures Path: The Forest Sanctuary. 🍎🌿✨

This month we’re making space for two very different ways to slow down.

🍂 Sunday Simmer Pot Gathering
We’ll gather around seasonal botanicals, cozy fall aromas and a little intentional creating.

🌿 Reiki Reset
A midweek opportunity to step away from the noise, settle your nervous system and simply receive for a little while.

One is hands-on, cozy and creative.

The other asks absolutely nothing of you except to show up.

And honestly? September might need a little bit of both. 💜

Details and registration are available through Nature’s Path Mind•Body•Soul. 💜

🌲 Forest Friday 🌲

September always feels like nature taking one long, slow breath.

The days are still warm. The trees are still green. Summer hasn’t quite left us…

But then there’s that cool morning.
The first leaf on the ground.
The apples appearing at the farm stands.
That tiny urge to light a candle and make something warm. 🍎🍂

Nature doesn’t rush from one season into another.

And maybe we don’t have to either.

Here’s to enjoying these in-between days — one little moment at a time. 🌿

Are you noticing any first signs of fall where you are?

🍂 Thoughtful Thursday 🍂

I’ve been thinking lately about how easy it is to focus on everything we haven’t done yet.

The list that isn’t finished.
The idea we haven’t brought to life.
The thing we said we were going to start.
The place we thought we’d be by now.

And sometimes we get so busy looking ahead that we forget to stop, turn around, and see how far we’ve actually come. 🌿

So today, instead of asking myself what I need to accomplish next, I’m asking a different question:

What am I proud of myself for already doing?

Not necessarily something huge, either.

Maybe you set a boundary.
Maybe you rested when you needed it.
Maybe you tried something that scared you.
Maybe you kept going through a season that felt really heavy.
Maybe you simply got up this morning and decided to try again.

That counts, too. 💜

So for this Thoughtful Thursday, tell me:

✨ What’s one thing you’re proud of yourself for lately?

Big or small — I’d love to celebrate it with you. 💜

🙏🏼Wellness Wednesday:

When was the last time you had thirty minutes where…
Nobody needed anything from you?
You weren’t answering a phone.
You weren’t making a list.
You weren’t taking care of someone else.
You weren’t trying to figure out what needed to happen next.

Rest and self-care do not have to be earned.
Reiki gives you that time to refill your cup.
You don’t have to do everything.
Take time for you today without feeling guilty for the reset.

You deserve it 💜

🍎 Teaching Tuesday: What exactly is a simmer pot?

If you saw yesterday’s post and thought, Okay… but what IS a simmer pot? 😂

Think of it as a little bit of nature simmering on your stove.

Fruits, herbs, spices and other botanicals are gently warmed in water, filling your home with their natural aroma — no candle required!

But one of my favorite things about simmer pots is that they can be about more than making your house smell amazing.

They can become a tiny ritual. 🌿

You can choose ingredients intentionally, slow down while you prepare them, set an intention for your home or simply use the process as a reminder to be present for a few minutes.

And with fall coming?

🍎 Apples
🍊 Orange
🌿 Rosemary
✨ Cinnamon
🤎 Clove

…give me ALL the cozy kitchen smells.

Yesterday I shared our upcoming simmer pot event, and over the next few weeks I thought it might be fun to teach you a little more about the ingredients, traditions and ways you can create your own seasonal rituals at home.

Because around here, we don’t gatekeep the cozy. 😂🍂

What scent immediately makes your brain say FALL?
