Living with a brain injury can be challenging, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. 💙

Individuals living with brain injury and their family members are invited to connect with others who understand. This in-person support group offers a welcoming space to share experiences, ask questions, exchange helpful information, and learn from others on similar journeys.

🕒 3–4 PM
📍 WakeMed Raleigh Campus – Healthpark Classroom (3000 New Bern Ave., Raleigh, NC 27610)

The Healthpark Classroom is on the first floor near WakeMed Rehab Hospital. Accessible parking is available. Enter through the Healthpark entrance and ask for the Healthpark Classroom.

WakeMed employee, Robert Maloney, was a New York firefighter 25 years ago during the September 11 attack. He was home preparing for a trip when news of the attack flashed across his television screen.

Today, as we remember September 11 and honor the first responders who showed extraordinary courage that day, we’re also reminded of the heroes who continue to answer the call in our own community.

We’re grateful for the courage, dedication and sacrifice of the first responders who stepped forward on 9/11 — and for those who continue to serve and protect our communities every day.

With 500+ volunteers strong, this amazing group makes blankets, baby hats , quilts, and huggables that bring warmth and comfort to patients and families when they need it most.

Every stitch is made with care, turning fabric into comfort and kindness into something you can hold onto 💫

“Being able to ask for help is the biggest change.”
