The Alden Avengers took on another race! 🏃‍♀️💙

Our team had a fantastic time participating in the annual ABC 7 Gibbons 5K Run/3K Walk, an event we proudly support each year. It’s always an incredible experience coming together to raise awareness and show our support for such an important cause.

We’re honored to represent the Davidson-Brin chapter of the Leukemia Research Foundation and to be part of a community dedicated to making a difference.

International nonprofit officially launched its program in Huntley with an opening day ride featuring residents of Alden Estates of Huntley! 🚲

Our residents loved being the first to enjoy scenic rides in Huntley. A big thank you to for making this experience possible. Cheers to many more rides ahead!

Paula Barasch built her life around the piano, teaching from age 35 to 78 while practicing every single day.

Music runs in her family. Her mother led a 19-piece orchestra in Providence, Rhode Island performing at weddings for free and raising money for the community.

“She was quite a lady,” Paula says. “I’m proud of all the years I played to perfection for her…”

A mother, grandmother of five, and great-grandmother, Paula’s life has been full both on and off the keys.

After stepping away from music for over a year, she’s now back, practicing daily and sharing her gift again.

“I’m enjoying playing… people stop and talk to me.”

✨ Proof that it’s never too late to return to what you love.

We just wrapped up an incredible week of food, fun, and celebration for National Skilled Nursing Care Week! 🌍✈️
Throughout the week, we took a culinary trip around the world—sampling dishes from some of our staff’s favorite countries and we closed out the week with a travel-themed raffle for our staff to take adventures of their own!
Most importantly, we had a blast honoring the amazing staff and residents who make Alden Old Town East such a special place to call home. Thank you for everything you do!
