siness and operations of our company. Urbandale is a privately owned skilled nursing facility that offers a full spectrum of care including rehabilitation, short term skilled care and long term care. We provide 24-hour medical care and support services to our residents. When it comes to your health, or the health of a loved one, we realize how important it is to select the right health care option to meet each individual’s specific needs and goals. We believe in a holistic approach to care by meeting the needs of our residents physically, mentally and socially. We do this by utilizing the knowledge and experience of our entire team including therapy, nursing, dietary, activities and social services.

Happy August Everyone! Hard to believe Summer 2026 is progressing so quickly! August is going to be a fun month with all of our State Fair Activities as well as our 2nd round of our Royal Treasures Boutique/Store! Check out our August Event Calendar, and have a Wonderful Weekend!

The Grand Opening of the Royal Treasures Boutique took place last Friday and Residents had an amazing time! This in house boutique offers residents the opportunity to go shopping for free and select items they need or enjoy for their personal use. The Boutique included clothing, shoes/slippers, decor, cosmetics, blankets/linens, jewelry, stuffed animals, gift items, and more! Residents had a blast and we will be making this a monthly event. We will be continuing to accept donations to keep our Boutique stocked with items our residents could use or enjoy. A special thanks to Dalynne in our EVS Department for her creative idea and all the work she and others put into making it a reality!

What a fun way to head into Father's Day Weekend with our Royal Oaks Car Show on Juneteenth!! Resident's had a blast from the past and enjoyed reminiscing about old times, memories, and their favorite cars from yesteryear! The popcorn and snow cones were a hit as well! Wishing all the Dad's a Happy Father's Day Weekend!

HELP US CREATE ROYAL TREASURES!

Royal Oaks Nursing & Rehab is excited to be opening Royal Treasures, a boutique shopping experience for our residents!

We are looking for donations to help us create a beautiful and welcoming boutique atmosphere and stock our boutique shelves. We would love donations of:

Real or artificial plants Floral arrangements Decorative signs Boutique décor and display items Small mirrors Costume jewelry Personal hygiene items (lotion, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, etc.) Hair accessories Home décor items Seasonal decorations

Our goal is to create a special place where residents can enjoy the experience of shopping, socializing, and choosing items that make them feel special and cared for.

If you have new or gently used items you would like to donate, please contact Royal Oaks Nursing & Rehab or stop by the facility.

Friday was our big Finale for the week and Royal Oaks welcomed Barnyard Buddies Petting Zoo to our beautiful outdoor courtyard. Resident's enjoyed seeing the animals up close and they brought back memories of days on the farm for many of our residents. One of the highlights of the petting zoo visit was getting to meet "Willow" a lamb that was born the day before the visit to our facility, so just barely 24 hours old. We also welcomed "Ozzie" the Miniature Highland Cow, "Smokey" the miniature pony, "Kota" the baby goat, "Reba" the 1 year old goat, and 2 dogs for petting as well. It was an absolutely beautiful day and the Residents loved getting outdoors for the special activity to close out National Skilled Nursing Care Week!!
