Both teams played great, and it was fantastic to see everyone cheering each other on, sharing smiles, and enjoying some friendly competition! ⚾🙌

🎶🍂 What a BUSY afternoon our residents had today! 🍂🎶

From toe-tapping country music to friendly competition and festive fall drinks, our residents had a little bit of everything!

🤠 5 Decades of Country – Kim County brought the country music fun with a fantastic show!

🃏 Golf Card Games – Residents enjoyed some friendly competition and time together.

🍸 Happy Hour – A big thank-you to Ramsey Therapy and EveryStep for joining us and treating our residents to delicious Pumpkin Spice White Russian mocktails! 🎃☕ They were a HIT!

🎯 Dime Bingo – We wrapped up the afternoon with a favorite pastime filled with fun, laughter, and a little friendly competition!

At our community, we believe that meaningful engagement, new experiences, and shared laughter make every day a little brighter. 💜

🍂🍎 Harvest Tasting Social! 🍎🍂

Today, our residents enjoyed a delicious Harvest Tasting Social filled with the flavors of fall! 🍁

The star of the show was our Caramel Apple Nacho Bar! 🍏🍯 From sweet caramel to delicious toppings, it was the perfect way to celebrate the season!

A big thank you to our amazing Culinary Team for preparing all the wonderful fall harvest treats and to our Resident Ambassadors for doing such a fantastic job decorating and helping create a festive atmosphere! 🧡🍂

🎉 Happy 100th birthday, Marguerite! Holiday Willow Groveve] celebrated a remarkable milestone for Marguerite, whose life story spans continents and now a century.

Born in Panama, Marguerite went on to build a career as a purchasing agent for United Aircraft, where she led a team of 30 people. Her advice for leaders is simple: “Listen to people.”

Today, Marguerite spends her evenings enjoying dinner, activities, bingo and plenty of time with her neighbors. When asked what she’s most proud of, her answer is just as simple: “My children.”

🍂⚾ We’re kicking off our fall season of Beanbag Baseball! ⚾🍂

What a fun afternoon we had today! We were excited to welcome the StoryPoint Norwalk Slammers for a friendly game of Beanbag Baseball. 🥎❤️

Our residents had a wonderful time cheering, laughing, playing, and enjoying some great company. Of course, no ballgame is complete without fresh popcorn 🍿 and ice-cold Gatorade! 🧊

We started the 2026-2027 school year off with partnerships between our communities and local schools. Our residents find so much joy in giving back and in passing on their wisdom to future generations.

⚾️🎆 Iowa Cubs Night! 🎆⚾️

Last week, our residents enjoyed a Friday night out at the Iowa Cubs game before the season came to an end! We cheered on the Cubs, enjoyed the excitement of the ballpark, and ended the night with a spectacular fireworks show. ❤️⚾️

It was the perfect way to enjoy a summer evening together and make some wonderful memories! 🎇✨

"I want to live here forever," says Arlene, a self-proclaimed newbie to Holiday Simi Hills.
"It's so friendly here. In the elevator, someone will say, 'oh, are you new?' – and introduce themselves and start talking." Arlene is living at Holiday Simi Hills to be closer to her daughter and to help out with her granddaughter. The plan was to live in the community for a year and then head back to her house on the coast. But things might change, according to Arlene.

"I hope the man who's renting my place for a year wants to stay longer, or even buy it. This is like being on a cruise. You go to your cabin, you eat in the dining room and you have activities – the only thing you're missing is the water."

Grandparents' Day was stuffed with love! 🧸

Leading up to the celebration, grandchildren dropped off their favorite “stuffies” to stay with residents for the week. The stuffed friends joined in on fitness classes, book clubs and even community outings – and we captured it all in photos to share with their grandchildren.

On Grandparents' Day itself, families reunited for a bingo bash, picked up their stuffies and keepsake photo booklets, and enjoyed a chicken nugget and popsicle bar together.

It was a celebration of the love, laughter and the impact grandparents have on their families.

We raised our pom-poms and cheered loudly at our Great Tailgate Social Series event! 📣

Communities brought the ultimate game day vibes as residents gathered to enjoy tailgate classics, including walking nachos and dirty soda bars.

The energy was high, the snacks were top-notch and the company was unbeatable. This event was definitely a touchdown for team spirit and community connection! 🏈🎉

“I don’t give up," shares Nancy, who has taken the step challenge at Holiday Maple Suites very seriously.

Nancy beat the record, walking every day for 125 days, helping the community hit ten million steps since March! Her motivation to keep going was more than just her competitive spirit. "I look forward to every step, and every little step helps me."

After recovering from an illness, she knew she had to be dedicated to reach her goal. "These steps are helping, and I am not quitting. I'm getting my daily movement in and enjoying it!

"I like people," shares Vonnie, a resident at Holiday Bridge Park, who has always had a gift for bringing people together.

From working at the 1962 Seattle World’s Fair to spending more than three decades in the restaurant industry, Vonnie has always loved meeting people and making connections. Today she brings that same warmth and enthusiasm to community life – enjoying exercise classes, bingo, reading and getting to know her neighbors.

She especially loves the community’s library and the many opportunities to get out and explore together. “I’m not bashful about mixing in or talking to people,” she adds.

We’re grateful to have Vonnie’s energy, humor and love of people at Bridge Park! ❤️

For nearly 18 years, Janie has lived at Holiday Willow Grove – in fact, she was one of the very first residents to call it home.

Over the years, she’s joined picnics, bus rides, meetings and countless activities, watched team members grow into new roles and witnessed the community become part of so many chapters of life. One thing hasn’t changed: Janie still wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.

“I'm still comfortable here. I wouldn't move somewhere else, even if I could.”

Today, Janie especially treasures breakfast with her neighbors and the church services and Bible study that have been part of the community since the beginning.

After nearly two decades, her perspective says it best: “I can count on the people here.”

Surf’s up! We enjoyed fresh beachy bites at our Taste of SoCal events.

We enjoyed French onion dip served with Ruffles potato chips, followed by California Cobb salad served with a whole wheat roll and Dole Whip for dessert!

To top it off, we watched a modern Hollywood classic, La La Land!

We can't wait to see – and taste – the cuisine from our destination next month!

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful afternoon filled with creativity, conversation, and plenty of smiles as they designed and created their very own door hangers! 🚪🌸

From choosing colors and decorations to adding their own personal touches, everyone had the opportunity to let their creativity shine. It was a beautiful afternoon of art, laughter, and connection—and we loved seeing each unique creation come to life! 💜

There’s nothing better than a little creativity to brighten up someone’s day! 🌷✨

Our residents had a berry sweet time at our Strawberry Social! A big thank you to our amazing culinary team for treating everyone to delicious strawberry-themed sweets. We also want to thank Rick Ludwig for providing the sweet tunes that made the afternoon even more enjoyable. It was a wonderful day filled with great food, music, laughter, and smiles! ❤️🍓🎶
