For years, Hayley believed her chronic jaw pain traced back to having 12 teeth removed as a teenager, followed by years of braces.
It seemed like a reasonable conclusion.
Believing her jaw had been permanently damaged, she did what most of us would do. She sought out massage, physical therapy, chiropractic care, acupuncture, even talk therapy, hoping the something would finally bring lasting relief.
What surprised her wasn’t just that her pain improved.
It was discovering how much influence she had over her own symptoms through somatic tracking, emotional processing, and learning a completely different way of relating to her body.
Today, her jaw pain is significantly improved, some days it’s gone entirely and in her words, her symptoms are “no longer taking up space in my brain throughout the day.”
One of the hardest parts of living with chronic pain or persistent symptoms is how much of your mental space they occupy, and how much of your life becomes centered around finding relief.
If you’ve been searching for relief for years and are wondering whether there might be another piece of the puzzle, my free Neuroplastic Pain & Symptom Self-Assessment can help you explore whether your symptoms show signs of a learned brain and nervous system component.
