There is a secret nobody tells you about relationships.
Most of us were never taught how to do them.
We were taught how to tie our shoes.
We were taught how to clean the bathroom (well, some of us).
We were taught how to drive (some of us better than others!).
But how to actually BE in relationship?
Most of us were never taught this. And then we grow up and assume everyone else somehow got the manual. Maybe you've wondered:
Why does everyone else seem to know how to do this?
Why can't I?
And this isn't only about romantic relationships. We have to learn how to be in relationship with ourselves, too.
How do I know who I am?
What do I actually want?
What do I do when anxiety takes over?
Why do I try to control things I cannot control?
Why do I sometimes feel like I don't even know myself anymore?
I've spent 30 years trying to answer these questions — personally, professionally, spiritually, and relationally.
But eventually we have to ask: Okay. So what do I do?
I don't think we need more information alone. I think we need a pathway. That's what I've been building through Whole Story Living — a way to understand the stories underneath our patterns, recognize what happens when protection takes over, and practice finding our way back to ourselves.
