🌊 **A FATHER'S DAY WEEKEND TRIBUTE - FEATURING KUYA MANDO (ARMANDO ALARAZ🎣**. -This Father’s Day weekend, we honor one of Calatagan’s hardworking fishermen — **Kuya Mando**, whose life story reflects strength, sacrifice, and love for family. (Interviewed by Haidy Duman)

Kuya Mando has been fishing since he was in **first grade**. What began as a way of life became his source of livelihood, helping him provide for his family through many years of hard work at sea.

Through fishing, he raised his children, supported his household, and proudly saw his **two sons finish college** — a beautiful testament to a father’s perseverance and quiet sacrifices.

Like many fishermen, Kuya Mando has survived many storms — not only the storms at sea, but also the storms of life. His story reminds us that behind every fisherman is a heart full of courage, determination, and deep love for family.

This Father’s Day, we celebrate Kuya Mando and all fathers who work tirelessly, face uncertainty with strength, and continue to provide with love.

POST TOURNAMENT MEETING WITH OUR FISHERMEN - Following the successful **Mel Ramirez Inaugural Fishing Tournament**, St. Michael held a meaningful post-tournament meeting with our fishermen to gather insights, share ideas, and begin planning for an even better tournament next year.

The discussion focused on strengthening **marine safety, improving tournament mechanics, identifying the best season and schedule for fishing, encouraging more fishermen to participate, and promoting responsible fishing practices** within the community.

We are grateful for the wisdom, experience, and support shared by our local fishermen. Their voices are essential as we continue building a tournament that honors Calatagan’s fishing heritage while supporting safety, sustainability, and community pride.

Together, we look forward to growing this event, increasing participation, raising awareness about marine protection, and helping position **Calatagan as a proud fishing and ecotourism destination**.

**CALLING ALL WELLNESS VENDORS!** -St. Michael Health & Wellness Center Corp. is inviting vendors to join the **Mind & Body Wellness Week** on **January 2–3, 2027** in Calatagan, Batangas.

We are looking for vendors offering **organic, natural, handmade, wellness-related, eco-friendly, healthy, and locally made products**, with special consideration for products proudly made in Calatagan.

Vendor categories may include handmade soaps, organic skincare, aromatherapy products, wellness kits, herbal products, healthy pre-packaged food, wellness drinks, local crafts, eco-friendly products, artisanal goods, and other wellness-inspired items.

**Vendor Tent Fee:** Php 625 per day
**Included:** One tent space and one table
**Two-Day Vendor Fee:** Php 1,250
**Reservation Fee:** Php 200
**Payment Terms:** 50% deposit due 60 days before the event; remaining balance due 30 days before the event.

Please note that vendor applications are **subject to approval by the organizer**. Food products must be **pre-packaged**, properly labeled, and suitable for public sale.
