Our men’s group had a fantastic time exploring Nauticus in downtown Norfolk! The gentlemen enjoyed learning about maritime history, exploring the exhibits, and taking in the incredible Battleship Wisconsin.⚓️

It was a wonderful day filled with history, conversation, and plenty of memories made together! We love getting our residents out into the community and enjoying new experiences. 💙

Big celebrations happening within our community! 🎉

Both of these amazing women have grown right alongside us in our community, and we are so thrilled to watch them take this next step:

🌟 Rachael is doing a fantastic job as our new Director of Sales & Community Relations. If you see her out and about, she is the one building wonderful new connections and strengthening our community outreach!

💙 Lyndsey is thriving as our Director of Clinical Services. She has been working tirelessly to ensure our residents and families receive the absolute highest level of care, support, and operational excellence.

Our Executive Director, Catie could not be prouder to have Rachael and Lyndsey on her leadership team. Their dedication, passion, and hard work over the last month are just a glimpse of the wonderful things to come.

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful outing to the Norfolk Botanical Garden, where we embarked on a relaxing boat tour through the stunning waterways. Along the way, we learned about the native birds that call our region home, admired vibrant flowers in full bloom, and soaked in the peaceful beauty of one of Hampton Roads’ most treasured destinations.

Experiences like these inspire curiosity, spark conversation, and create lasting memories. We can’t wait for our next adventure together! 💚🌿

Sunshine, fresh ocean air, and great company made for the perfect day! ☀️🌊

Our Inspiritás Memory Care residents enjoyed a wonderful outing to Little Island Park, where we shared a picnic lunch, took a peaceful walk along the beach, and soaked in the beautiful coastal views. Spending time outdoors encourages movement, sparks conversation, and provides meaningful sensory experiences that bring joy and create lasting memories.

It was a relaxing day filled with smiles, laughter, and the simple pleasures of nature. We can’t wait for our next adventure together! 💙

This past week, our residents enjoyed another engaging RUI University class presented by Judie Ritter from TheKey, Seeds of Better Health: Small Daily Choices for Lifelong Well-Being.

Judie shared practical, easy-to-implement tips that showed how small, consistent healthy habits can make a big impact on our overall well-being. From nutrition and movement to mindset and daily routines, everyone left inspired with simple ways to cultivate a healthier, happier life.

A heartfelt thank you to Judie for sharing her knowledge and passion for healthy living with our Bay Lake community!

Nothing beats a cool treat on a hot summer day! ☀️🍦 Our Inspiritás Memory Care residents enjoyed a fun outing to Gelati Celesti Ice Cream, where they cooled off with delicious ice cream, shared plenty of smiles, and made sweet memories together. It’s the little moments like these that bring so much joy. ❤️

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for our Tour, Take & Unwind event! It was a pleasure welcoming you to our community and sharing an evening of great food, wonderful company, and relaxation.

We hope you enjoyed the delicious salmon dinner expertly prepared by our talented Taste of RUI Executive Chef Daniel. Thank you for taking the time to tour our beautiful community, connect with our team, and experience the warm hospitality that makes Bay Lake so special.

The summer heat couldn’t stop us from celebrating America’s 250th birthday! We brought the party indoors and had an incredible time filled with laughter, great company, and patriotic spirit.

A special thank you to Pancho for keeping the celebration lively with fantastic music, while our residents enjoyed creating their own treats at our Dirty Soda Bar. And, of course, our talented Taste of RUI culinary team served up a delicious all-American cookout that was the perfect way to celebrate this historic milestone.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for an afternoon of fun, fellowship, and red, white, and blue memories! 🇺🇸✨
