👕✂️ That’s a wrap on our Clothes & 5 Senses Study! 👀👃👂✋👅

We had so much fun wrapping up our study with some hands-on creativity and sensory exploration! Our little designers got to create their very own shirts out of paper bags and make their own felt bags! 🧵🎨

We also put our taste buds to the test by exploring different flavors! From buttery chocolate and salty pretzels to sweet gummies and sour lemons, we had lots of giggles, silly faces, and some very surprised reactions! 🍫🥨🍬🍋

What a fun way to end our study, full of creativity, curiosity, and learning through play! 💛

🍂 Fall Fun in Dino Den! 🍁

Our Dino Den friends have been getting creative this fall by making their very own scarecrows and decorating shirts! 🎨 Through these hands-on activities, our little learners explored their creativity, practiced fine motor skills, and expressed their individuality. Each creation was as unique and special as the child who made it!

Learning through play makes every season a little more magical! 🍂🧡

We had another fun-filled week of learning in Pre-K! 🧵✂️👕

As we continued exploring clothing and how our clothes are made, our preschoolers got to experience a little bit of the process themselves! We took our time designing and decorating our very own paper vests, and we even practiced sewing using embroidery hoops, needles, and thread! 🪡 These hands-on activities gave our friends a chance to explore how fabric and clothing are created while also strengthening their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and concentration.

We also had a SUPER special day this week… Superhero Day! 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️ Our friends came to school dressed as their favorite superheroes and got to create their very own superhero masks to complete the fun!

From learning how clothes are made to becoming superheroes for the day, we had a week full of creativity, new skills, and lots of hands-on learning! ✨

🫧🧱 Sensory Fun in Forest Friends & Dino Den! 🌲🦖

Our Forest Friends and Dino Den had a blast exploring shaving cream and LEGOs! This fun, messy activity gave our children the chance to build, squish, scoop, create, and explore different textures through hands-on play.

For our younger learners, sensory play helps strengthen fine-motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and early problem-solving. For our older learners, adding LEGOs encourages creativity, building, planning, communication, and working together with friends.

Sensory experiences also support language development, concentration, self-regulation, and social skills—all while letting children learn in the way they do best: through play! 💚✨

🔷🔺 Shape Exploration in ECE! 🟢🟨

This week, our little learners are becoming shape detectives! 🔍✨

We’re learning the names of different shapes and exploring our classroom to see where we can find those same shapes around us. From circles and squares to triangles and rectangles, we’re discovering that shapes are everywhere! 👀🏫

This hands-on activity helps our children build shape recognition, vocabulary, observation skills, and early math concepts while having fun exploring their classroom. 💛

Who knew learning shapes could be such an adventure? 🔺🟢🔵🟨

Our Pre-K friends have been busy becoming little weather scientists! 🔍 last week, we explored weather through hands-on experiments, art, sensory play, and lots of observation.

We painted sunshine, practiced the colors of the rainbow, created and explored fluffy clouds, experimented with ice and melting, and even took our learning outside to investigate shadows and sunlight. We also used our binoculars to look closely at the world around us and notice what we could see in the sky and our environment. ☀️☁️🧊🌈

These activities gave our kiddos opportunities to make predictions, observe changes, ask questions, explore with their senses, build new vocabulary, and create their own representations of weather concepts—all while getting a little messy along the way!

🎶🫧 A Week Full of Learning & Fun in our Lockwood ECE center! 🫧🎶

We had so much fun learning and exploring this week! 💛

🎵 Music & Movement: We turned up the music and had a bubble party! 🫧 The children danced, moved, and had a blast popping and chasing bubbles!

🔤 Letter Ll: We’ve been learning all about the letter L! We practiced the sound it makes, talked about words that begin with L, and worked on writing both uppercase L and lowercase l. ✏️📚

🧼 Sensory Fun: For sensory time, we washed toy food and toys in soapy water! The children loved splashing, scrubbing, and exploring while building their fine-motor and sensory skills. 🫧🧽

We love making learning hands-on, active, and FUN! 🌟💙
