At Watercrest, a celebration is never just one thing! 🇺🇸

For America’s 250th birthday, our communities brought the red, white, and blue in every way they knew how: patriotic BBQs, live entertainment, "Firecracker" cocktails, holiday treats, backyard games, water balloon tosses, festive parfaits, and singalongs filled with favorite patriotic songs.

There was even an extra birthday in the mix as resident Nora celebrated her special day during the festivities!

From the food to the music to the little moments that made each community’s celebration feel personal, this Fourth of July was full of Watercrest spirit. Different traditions, different activities, and one shared reason to gather together and celebrate in style. That's the Watercrest Way!

Serving our residents also means serving the communities around us! 💙

At Pelican Landing Assisted Living and Memory Care, associates rolled up their sleeves for a community car wash fundraiser benefiting the Center for Memory & Movement | Alzheimer’s & Parkinson Association. Watercrest's servant leaders spent a day washing cars, serving hot dog combos, and rallying support for a cause that touches so many families.

Every dollar raised helps support individuals living with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s, along with the resources and care they deserve. We are proud of our Pelican Landing team for turning a day of service into meaningful impact!

June felt a little like summer camp at Watercrest Buena Vista! 🏕️

Watercrest residents embraced the "Camping Under the Stars" theme with campfire songs by the pool, lemonade, popcorn, playful “S’mores Names,” and a tasting featuring pesto parmesan and sweet chili corn on the cob.

It was a perfect example of "The Whimsy Effect," the spirit behind Watercrest’s Whimsical Moments program created by Sheena Jeffries. The idea is simple but strong: small, unexpected moments of joy can turn an ordinary day into a powerful experience.

At Watercrest Buena Vista lately, that's looked like familiar summer songs, silly camp-inspired names, favorite seasonal snacks, old camping stories, and genuine laughs that come from doing something playful together.

This is what intentional whimsy can do: bring people back to memories they love while creating new ones right where they are! 🔥

Bri brings a distinctive combination of hospitality, healthcare, senior living, and executive sales leadership to the Watercrest team. Her career began with globally recognized hospitality brands, including Marriott and Hilton, before her work with older adults led her to pursue a deeper calling in senior living.

Throughout her career, Bri has led revenue growth, strengthened brand positioning, built scalable sales strategies, and developed high-performing teams. In her new role, she will lead strategic sales initiatives that support Watercrest’s continued growth, operational excellence, and the experiences we create for residents and families.

The ribbon has officially been cut at Watercrest Fredericksburg! ✂️

Watercrest Senior Living was proud to celebrate the Grand Opening of Watercrest Fredericksburg with a ribbon-cutting ceremony officiated by the Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Community partners, guests, friends, and local leaders gathered for a beautiful reception, complete with a thoughtfully prepared spread from our team and great excitement for the future of this new community.

This milestone marks the beginning of a new home for residents and a new chapter of service in the Spotsylvania community. We are grateful to everyone who joined us in celebration, to Spotsylvania County for such a warm welcome, and to the Watercrest Fredericksburg team for helping bring this mission to life.

After so much anticipation, Watercrest Fredericksburg is officially open, already welcoming residents home, and ready for all that is ahead. ⭐

Father’s Day showed up with full plates, full rooms, and a whole lot of love across Watercrest's communities. 💙

With themed brunches and beautiful buffets, live music, family visits, and friends gathering together, our communities made the day feel special for the fathers, grandfathers, father figures, and gentlemen we are so grateful to celebrate.

The best part wasn't just what was served or played. It was seeing families gathered around the table and our communities filled with the moments that make a holiday feel like home.

To all the dads and father figures in our Watercrest family, we hope your Father’s Day felt as meaningful as you are!

A full calendar matters. A meaningful calendar matters even more.

Across Watercrest communities, outings are intentional opportunities for residents to stay connected to the world around them. Recently, that's looked different in every community!

At Watercrest Buena Vista, Memory Care residents enjoyed Lake Miona with bingo and time by the water. At Watercrest Richmond, Kip’s Tea brought residents, families, and directors together around the table. Watercrest of St. Lucie West residents have been on frequent lunch outings, while Watercrest Winter Park made the journey part of the experience aboard SunRail, traveling through four counties and across the St. Johns River with a Chick-fil-A stop along the way.

Pelican Landing Assisted Living and Memory Care residents spent a day exploring Grant Antique Mall, Watercrest Palm Beach Gardens visited their local Aviation Museum, and Watercrest Fredericksburg residents climbed aboard a trolley for a fresh view of their city!

This is community life with intention: not just filling time, but creating opportunities for curiosity, connection, independence, and JOY.
