The final weeks of summer kept Watercrest communities on the move! ☀️

Our residents have been out and about for dining outings to The Back Porch Mulberry and Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant, while back on-site, wellness was on the agenda with Aqua-Fit in the pool and "Stretch & Flex" indoors. One community celebrated Labor Day with a lecture exploring the history of their own city, followed by a delicious lunch, while another collaborated on a colorful dot project that offered a creative way to exercise color-matching cognition.

Our end-of-summer calendars have offered so many ways for residents to stay engaged and spend their time doing what makes them feel their best! 🤍

In recognition of our nation’s 250th anniversary, Watercrest Senior Living Group has committed $30,000 to support veterans through a new scholarship initiative at Watercrest Winter Park. 🇺🇸

Five qualifying veterans who move in by September 30, 2026 may receive $500 each month toward their assisted living accommodations for one year.

This initiative reflects a commitment woven throughout our organization: to recognize sacrifice with gratitude and translate that gratitude into meaningful support. We are proud to partner with the Watercrest Winter Park team in welcoming veterans with the respect and care they deserve!

What’s been on the calendar at Pelican Landing lately? A little bit of everything!

Pelican Landing Assisted Living and Memory Care residents have covered quite a bit of ground lately, including sipping and sampling through the "Food & Wine Bazaar," putting their curiosity to work on a science project, getting creative with balloon art, and enjoying the fresh air at Wabasso Causeway Park. They even made time to explore Hogan Yards, a new local spot.

Live Exhilarated programming emphasizes that variety is not simply about having more to do, but creating more opportunities for our residents to follow a curiosity, revisit an interest or discover something entirely new.

Change has a way of bringing gratitude into sharper focus, for the people who shaped the chapters behind us and those who make new beginnings feel like home. 🤍

Across Watercrest communities, we recently saw that gratitude expressed through both special welcomes and fond farewells.
At Watercrest of St. Lucie West, new resident Christine was moved to tears by her red-carpet welcome. At Watercrest Buena Vista, residents and associates celebrated Programming Specialist April and thanked her for all she contributed before sending her into her next chapter with love. And at Watercrest Richmond, new resident Bill (a retired NYPD officer and U.S. Army veteran) was honored with a special visit and gifts from a Chesterfield County police officer, thoughtfully arranged by James.

Different transitions, each made more meaningful by taking the time to recognize the people at the heart of them!

Lifelong learning is a priority across Watercrest, and our Palm Beach Gardens community is a great example of what that can look like in practice. 📚

Residents recently filled the room for Lifelong Lecturer Wes Anthony’s exploration of Marilyn Monroe, took learning beyond the community with a visit to the Aviation Museum on the Beach, and put their own knowledge to the test during their quarterly Spelling Bee with students from Jupiter Community High School.

The aviation outing became especially meaningful for resident William Linden, a former United States Air Force and Pan Am pilot who flew around the world. William shared stories from his own experience and even donated aircraft photographs from the 1930s to the museum.

For us, lifelong learning is about creating opportunities for residents to keep asking questions and challenge themselves.

If our Watercrest communities know how to do anything, it’s how to be creative and intentional with their time! 💙

Across our communities, that can look completely different from one day to the next. Residents have been getting moving with pom-poms and "Move Freely" classes, tapping into their creativity through jewelry making and a drum circle, giving back by donating blood, and even heading into town for a little shopping.

Different communities, varied interests, and countless ways for residents to choose how they spend their time. We love seeing what’s on the calendar across Watercrest! 📅

Honoring veterans at Watercrest means recognizing the life, history, and sacrifice each resident brings with them. 💜

Watercrest Palm Beach Gardens recently hosted a "Purple Heart Luncheon," bringing veterans together for a shared meal and giving the community an opportunity to recognize those whose service came with extraordinary sacrifice.

Moments like this matter because resident experience should make space for the chapters that shaped a person long before they arrived at Watercrest.

We are proud of the veterans who call our communities home and grateful for every opportunity to honor their service, stories, and contributions!
