Read me 👇🏽
I used to think fitness was mostly about aesthetics for me.
And don’t get me wrong, I absolutely enjoy feeling strong, lean, healthy, confident, all of that.
But the older I get the more I realize movement is one of the main ways I regulate my nervous system.
It quiets the noise.
It burns off stress.
It helps me process.
It gets me out of my head.
It reconnects me to myself.
Some days the workout is for my body.
Some days it’s very obviously for my mind.
And I think a lot of people underestimate how much their mental state improves when they stop treating movement like punishment and start treating it like support.
