SONshine Pediatric Therapy We provide one-on-one direct skilled speech therapy services in the China Spring area

SONshine Pediatric Therapy is a pediatric private practice located in China Spring, TX that currently provides speech-language pathology services to children. We currently address the following speech-language & feeding deficits:
-articulation (speech sounds)
-receptive language (what is understood)
-expressive language (what is said by the child)
-pragmatic language (social interactions)
-fluency (stuttering)
-vocal quality (hoarseness, pitch, loudness)
-apraxia (oral motor planning)
-swallowing deficits (includes chewing, tongue movements, lip closure, etc)

SONshine Pediatric Therapy is a MOBILE speech clinic. We provide one-on-one direct skilled speech therapy services to address all speech, language and feeding/swallowing deficits in the pediatric population. We service children ages 6 months to 21 years of age in the convenience of your home or daycare! We work hand-in-hand with the families to improve your child’s speech skills while they are at home or out in the community. Our overall goal is to be a light to the China Spring community and share God’s love through the care of our patients and their families!

October is Augmentative and Alternative Communication Awareness month! Wondering what is AAC?? An AAC device is ANY means of communication used to replace or supplement spoken language— this can look like picture boards, communication books, gestures, Signs, or even high tech tablet with a communication app!

One of our joys as an SLP is using any and all means of communication to allow our patients’ voices to be heard!

As a pediatric therapist, we get to treat kiddos ages 0-21! I love ALL of my patients but I have a special place in my heart for early language babies!! This precious boy came to me with zero words, almost 2 years old & only grunted… now (5 months later) he has 50+ different words & is putting 2 words together independently 👏🏻👏🏻

Every kiddo is different, but MAN, it is SO awesome to witness when it “clicks” 🥰 Happy graduation day, buddy!! 🧡☀️💛

Speech and language therapy begins with connection🧡 Before we can expect a kiddo to take risks, try new sounds, use new words, or communicate in new ways, they need to feel safe, understood, and supported!

Building trust with each child and their family is one of the most meaningful parts of this work! From there, we can create a space where communication skills can grow through connection, play, encouragement, and lots of little moments of success ☀️
