On August 6th AC Passages spent a beautiful day at Stan Hywet. We enjoyed a guided tour, a picnic followed up with a walk through the gorgeous gardens.

July photo dump x3. July was full of picnics, art, pickeball, shopping for cooking classes, pets, friends helping friends, singing and dancing, playing games, and so much more! Access The Arts brought in music, art and digital art. Thank you Trent for inviting us all over for swimming! We've really been enjoying learning about what does "ADS" mean and what are we really getting out of our program! Our lunch outing at Angie's Pizza was delicious. We celebrated July birthdays ... Kevin, James and Reagan. We have also been learning sign language to help us communicate with one of our new friends. Our garden is doing great, we've been able to pick vegetables to use in our cooking classes 🍅. How is it August already???

Unfortunately ACP is canceling our field trip and picnic today to Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens due to the very poor air quality. The entire tour is outside and inside (windows open). For the safety of all our friends and staff, we have made the difficult decision to reschedule this field trip. In addition, none of the staff cell phones are working as of right now. Apparently the cell towers are down in the area?? Texting and emailing is working, so if you need to get in touch with us, please text or email. Thank you.

Please be advised that due to the funeral of fallen Rittman Police Sgt. Scott Ries the City of Wadsworth is closing Route 94 from 162 through 76. Therefore ACP vans will have to take a very large detour out of Weatherstone today when we depart. There is no way around this, we just had a police officer here to explain all of this to us. In fact, they are using our parking lot for overflow parking for Fire Trucks. Therefore, PLEASE, we ask for your understanding that we will more than likely be delayed in drop offs today. Even for the individuals that live 3-5 minutes from the day center. We have no choice but to detour quite a ways around town. Thank you.

Happy 4th of July! ACP wishes everyone a safe and happy holiday. Here are some random photos of friends using their imaginations using craft supplies to create flags. We did a fun project making jelly fish. We were honored to be part of the MCBDD's self advocacy class earning CPR certificates! Pickleball is always so much fun! Going to the park and singing Karaoke is always enjoyed. AND congratulations to Zach for being the Individual of the Month of July!!!!!
