What happens when a leader's talent outpaces their character?

In today's church culture, charisma can fill seats, grow platforms, and build influence. But what happens when skill becomes more important than integrity?

Elizabeth Woodson shares a powerful perspective on why character matters—and why making the right decision isn't always the easiest one.

What if finding God has less to do with the mountaintop... and more to do with the truck stop?

We often think joy and wonder happen in extraordinary moments. But what if God is inviting us to find delight in the ordinary, everyday places we usually overlook?

The ability to notice beauty in the mundane may be one of the ways we learn to recognize God's presence in our lives.

The most shocking part of Jonah isn't the fish.

It's the ending.

Why does the book end with an unanswered question? And what does that reveal about God's persistence, mercy, and invitation to us?

Doubt isn't the opposite of faith. It might actually be part of it.

In Monday's episode of Hey Tabi, I sat down with Bible teacher, author, and all-around gift to the church, Elizabeth Woodson — and we went there.

We talked about what it looks like to show up to God when you're angry. When you're hurt. When the people who were supposed to represent Him let you down badly.

Here's what Elizabeth said that stopped me in my tracks: "He's big enough for the tension."

Oof. Yes, He sure is!

We also talked about busyness as an anesthetic for pain, what God actually looks like when He shows up for people who are hurting in the Gospels, and why your questions don't disqualify you from faith. They might actually be the beginning of a deeper one.

If you've ever walked away from church but not from God, this one is for you.

We invite you to ask your questions for an upcoming discussion with Georgia Shaffer, Sharmen Elaine, and Tabitha Westbrook on rebuilding a relationship with God after abuse, particularly spiritual abuse.

Many survivors struggle with questions about trust, faith, safety, church hurt, and how to reconnect with God after experiencing harm within faith-based environments. During this conversation, we hope to explore topics such as:

• Rebuilding trust with God
• Healing spiritually after abuse
• Processing church hurt and spiritual harm
• Reconnecting with faith and community
• Moving forward with peace and hope

If you have a question you would like us to consider during the panel discussion, please leave it in the comments or message us privately.

You are not alone, and healing is possible.
