âLetâs Monitor it.â
âHereâs another prescription.â
âLetâs wait and see.â
I heard this so many times with Taylor that I stopped expecting anything different. Weâd be in appointments for hours just for monitoring, no answers, and@always with a new script.
Taylor was One year old with eight different prescriptions and now sheâs down to two. Iâd walk into appointments with a notebook full of concerns and walk out with a shrug, despair, and a follow up appointment in three months with eight different specialist.
For years, It felt like we lived at the hospital. Then one day I stopped asking and starting searching. âWhat else can I do to get to the root and not just address the symptom?â
That single shift changed everything for us. Not because the doctors were wrong- weâll always need them- but because I finally started looking underneath the symptoms instead of just monitoring them from the outside.
If youâve been told âwait and seeâ one too many timesâŚ.youâre not impatient. Youâre not overreacting. Youâre a parent who knows thereâs more to the story. đ
Now our story is forever evolving just like yours but we can take some control to help out the process.
