Thank you to the Warner Robins Fire Department for supporting our EMS team at the 2026 Georgia National Fair with their Georgia Search and Rescue (GSAR) tent. This climate-controlled treatment space helps our paramedics provide timely, compassionate care to fairgoers when they need it most.

We're proud to work alongside dedicated public safety partners to help keep our community safe, healthy and enjoying all the fun the fair has to offer.

As we get ready to kick off the 2026 Georgia National Fair today, we want to give a special shoutout to our partners at Warner Robins Fire Department for setting up their Georgia Search and Rescue (GSAR) tent to support our EMS operations at the fair!

This isn’t just any tent! This fully enclosed, weatherproof facility is equipped with heating, air conditioning, and lighting, giving us a dedicated space to care for patients in a comfortable, climate-controlled environment.

Staffed by an Emory Healthcare EMS paramedic, this treatment area allows us to care for multiple patients simultaneously, provide relief from the Georgia heat, and deliver medical care right here at the fairgrounds.

Having a resource like this available is a tremendous asset to our operations and, more importantly, to the thousands of people attending the fair.

Partnerships like this are what public safety is all about! 💪

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 4th annual 5K/Fun Run & Wellness Expo. From our runners and walkers to our vendors, volunteers, public safety partners and community organizations, your support helped make this event a success.

For years, Patrick Bellamy lived with kidney disease, but by late 2025 his condition had progressed to kidney failure, making even simple daily activities difficult. Following nearly two years on dialysis, he learned he urgently needed a kidney transplant. Through the living donor screening process, Patrick's sister, Ashley, was found to be a match and donated her kidney, giving her brother a second chance at life.

Today, Patrick is recovering well and has returned to a healthier, more active life. Their story highlights the powerful impact of living organ donation and the extraordinary differences donors can make.

At Emory Healthcare, the No. 1 kidney transplant and living donor program in the U.S. by volume, Patrick received advanced transplant care from our nationally recognized team, which combines expertise, innovation and compassion to help patients achieve better outcomes.

Caregivers are the backbone of our communities, and at Emory Healthcare, we’re committed to ensuring they have the support, education and resources they need to thrive.

At this year’s Emory Hospital EduCare Caregiver Conference, 61 caregivers came together to learn, connect and be heard through educational sessions, community resources and meaningful support. With nearly 23% of Houston County residents serving as caregivers, events like this help ensure no one has to navigate their caregiving journey alone.

We were also proud to recognize two Champions of Community Health for Emory Hospital Warner Robins: Mayor LaRhonda Patrick, for her leadership in expanding health and wellness opportunities through the Mayor’s Health Initiative, and Cynthia Malone, for her unwavering dedication to raising awareness about heart disease through Chippin’ Away at Heart Disease.
