We spent this morning demonstrating adult and infant CPR and the Heimlich maneuver for amazing members at Bethlehem Tabernacle Church in Detroit for their Community Day. A huge thanks to our good friend April Cobb for the invite! We had a blast and we're so grateful that these kids and adults could ask questions and try our the equipment. ❤️ ❤️

This class isn't just for future babysitters—it's a great experience for all tweens and teens who want to build confidence, responsibility, and real-life skills.

❤️ THIS is why I teach. ❤️

Recently, I received a message from a parent that reminded me exactly why I am so passionate about CPR, First Aid, and emergency response education.

"A kid was choking at lunch today and there were no teachers around, so Ben applied the Heimlich maneuver on the child and dislodged a piece of food from his throat. He used what he learned from his certification at karate and saved that kid's life."

Think about that for a moment.

A young student recognized an emergency, stayed calm under pressure, and used the skills he learned in class to help save another child's life. There is no greater reward as an instructor than knowing that training made a difference when it mattered most.

This is why I teach these classes. Every certification, every practice scenario, and every student has the potential to become someone's hero. If I could teach the entire world these lifesaving skills, I absolutely would.

Congratulations, Ben! I am incredibly proud of you. Your quick thinking and courage made all the difference.
