The other day I was invited to be a product judge by Dreaming Out Loud. While there, I had some South African food for the first time!! STAMP!! This weekend I pulled up to an event hosted by at Laurel Park Racetrack where that South African food was!! Let’s GO!!
Where I am:
Location Reviewed: 198 Laurel Racetrack Rd., Laurel M.D.
Items Reviewed:
STAMP!! Their Meat Platter ($35 with BRAAI Lamb *grilled lamb chops*, grilled chicken, short beef ribs, Boerewors *sausage encased in lamb*, Pap *mashed up corn meal*, & their Chakalaka *a seasoned vegetable mix with peppers, & carrots* with a South African spicy sauce). ALL the protein was grilled to perfection, smoky, with a tasty earthy seasoning!! The Chakalaka was sweet, & savory, & paired perfectly with the tasty grainy Pap!!

STAMP!! Their Lemonades ($6 each for a blueberry, & mango lemonade). Refreshing, not as sweet as I thought they were going to be, so just right!!

STAMP!! Their Fish n Chips ($18 for a fried catfish, & fries). No hot sauce necessary on this catfish, their hot sauce is more spicy like wasabi, rather than hot.
Customer Service: On Point!
Parking: Decent.
Recommendations: Give them a shot!!
Accessibility: It’s wheelchair & differently abled persons friendly.

It’s a spot in Adams Morgan that has Karaoke, Great DJ’s, Brunch, & most of all good NY Style food!! I’ve been here before, enjoyed the food, & vibes, it was just time for me to pull up again!!

STAMP!! Their Mocktails ($8 each for a Blueberry Lime Mocktail, & a Pineapple Passionfruit Mocktail). Refreshing, juicy, & tasty!!

STAMP!! Their Island Beef Patty ($12 a beef patty with spicy chopped jerk chi, & chipotle ranch). This was a hefty beef patty, so much so that I used a fork to dip into it!! Spicy, flavorful, tasty!!

STAMP!! Their NY Glizzy ($7 an all beef hot dog with chili, & cheese, on grilled potato bread). A classic with a snappy beef hot dog, I’d get another!!

LIKE THAT! Their NY Chicken Chopped Cheese ($13 with chopped chicken, American, & cheddar cheeses, lettuce, tomato, & MIXXED sauce). Cheesy, with plenty of chicken, & a sweet but savory sauce!

STAMP!! Their Asian Garlic Noodles ($28 garlic noodles with chicken, & shrimp). Garlicky, sweet, plentiful, & tasty!!

I’ve been to this baker before, I STAMPED her cupcakes, she moved, so let me get y’all hip to where she is now!! Let’s GO!! Wait…also check out while you’re at Rhonda’s for all your silver needs!!

Items Reviewed: *All their regular sized cupcakes have a buttercream frosting, & are $4 each. Cupcakes, full size cakes, & pies are available to order*

STAMP!! The Cupcakes ($4 each, & I got their chocolate, strawberry crunch, strawberry shortcake, carrot cake, strawberry lemon, Pina colada, Oreo, Biscoff, & pineapple cupcakes). I tried the carrot, strawberry lemon, chocolate, & pineapple cupcakes. STAMP every one I tried!! My favorites were the carrot cake, & pineapple cupcake!! Fluffy, moist, with that buttercream frosting…STAMP!! Get’em!!

STAMP!! Their Crab Cornbread Muffin ($5 with crab meat, & shrimp inside the muffin, & a crab aioli). Savory, meaty, you tasted the Old Bay, different, & well prepared!!

STAMP!! Their Seafood Salad ($10 with tuna, crab, & shrimp inside the salad, & spicy ranch crackers). Look…those crackers siced the already STAMPED seafood salad! A must try!!

People always ask me what gauge do I use to rate food? Well, this new’ish spot in Baltimore set up a STAMPED standard!! Look, I’m not making this long, & drawn out Good Folks…GET HERE!! That’s it!!

STAMP!! Their Shrimp Fra Diavolo Bucatini ($32 with grilled shrimp, spicy diavolo sauce, & bucatini pasta). Creamy mildly hot sauce, perfectly grilled shrimp, & a tender pasta!!

STAMP!! Their Blueberry Vanilla Pancakes ($17 with blueberry compote, vanilla cream, whipped butter, & warm maple syrup). The whipped butter, & vanilla cream almost makes these cakes into a dessert!!

STAMP!! Their Honey Cilantro Wings ($17 whole grilled wings with a sweet n spicy glaze, cilantro, & lime). Grilled to perfection, smoky, sweet, with meat that fell off the bone!!

STAMP!! Their Sunday’s Best Cocktail ($14 with a tea infused vodka, vanilla, honey, & lemon). I gave this away, & they said STAMP!!

STAMP!! Their Strawberry Layered Matcha ($6). Creamy, sweet, tasty!!

STAMP!! Their Busy Bee Cocktail ($15 with tequila, blueberry, honey, & lavender). I gave this away to the same table, & again, they said STAMP!!

Have y’all ever heard that strip clubs have good wings? I have, & I know that some of them do, so when I saw my fellow foodie review strip club food!! I had to pull up myself!!

DELICIOUS. Their Mozzarella Sticks ($12 for 6 breaded, & fried mozzarella sticks). Cheesy of course, just good though.

STAMP!! Their Wings ($15 for 6 lemon peppered wings). Crispy, juicy, lemony, peppery, perfect strip club wings!!

LIKE THAT! Their Sweet Thai Chili Salmon Sliders *Lunch Special Price is $5.99 Mon.-Fri. 12pm-6pm, Sat.-Sun. 3pm-6pm ($16 grilled salmon on mini toasted buns with a slaw, sweet Thai chili, & fries). Huge chunks of well seasoned salmon, a sweet mildly spicy sauce, & crisp fries!!

STAMP!! Their 1/2 Pound Burger ($15 with American cheese, tomato, lettuce, red onion, mayo, bacon, & onion rings). A thick burger, nicely melted cheese, crisp bacon, & them tasty onion rings!!

LIKE THAT! Their NY Strip Steak ($24 a NY steak with fries). Nicely seasoned, I just wanted it a lil more pink on the inside!!
