Dirty Mirror
Dirty mirrors still reflect the raw potency of our love,
The dust on the glass is like my lust on your soul,
You can’t brush it off of your mind,
You thought you left me behind but I’m intertwined in the ebb & flow of you.

The webs & hoes you use to expunge me from your beauty
Is impossible to do, because I sunk my teeth into your existence while you were sleeping,
So I’ve embedded my indelible mark upon your frequency & spark,
And your juices are polluted with my colors of a kaleidoscope intimacy.

That’s a new kind of chemistry – that makes all the other dames wanna be me,
When we make heat in your paint – but they can’t feel it cuz they ain’t me or you,
They are just a mere hue of nothingness,
They really can’t taste the sweet frothy paste of erotic rainbows.

The highs & lows of you sculpting me with your chisel,
A metaphysical drizzle of you to me,
Unzipping the dirty mirror of sensuality & pleasure,
Reflecting the love we create, a beauty that’s unique to us.

This poem is one I wrote from the perspective of a “Dirty Mirror”, exploring the intense and all-consuming love between two people. The one lover finds it hard to let go. The mirror reflects the raw emotions and desires of the lovers, highlighting the idea that their love is a powerful force that cannot be erased as easily as the departed lover thinks it can.

SEEK JOURNEY

in the stillness, i seek the divine
a 30-day journey, a daniel fast
focusing my heart, aligning my soul
with the path of god, the vision of alfred street

screens will fade, devotion will rise
gratitude overflows, negativity fades
i will walk with intention, mindful of my steps
finance will bow to wisdom, saving for what’s to come

under the leadership of a visionary pastor
i surrender to the journey, to grow, to learn
grateful for the now, investing in the future
seeking the divine, finding my true self 🌟

I’m tryin It will be hard. Less screen time - no coffee. Less spending. But more time to pray meditate & most nights f to gain a closer walk with God🙏🏽. I’ll still be here maybe not as often. But it’s worth it If you like this please hit the heart twice & comment . Blessings 💙💙
