I posted a first day of school pic, so it’s only fitting that I post one for the last day of school, too. 🥰⁣

It’s been another year full of challenges, but many more moments of joy. I’ve learned the lessons that were meant for me and I celebrated as much as possible. It was a great year, but I’m looking forward to a few months of going at a slower pace, making more time for what I love and refilling my own cup for a bit. Bring on summer! ☀️

“Spring into a new you….forget the stresses, seek the positives😊☀️❤️.  Have a great day today…hugs.”⁣

I received this message from a friend this morning. His words stuck in my head all day. ⁣

After my birthday (and even before), I took a step back from sharing so much about my life. I didn’t feel like my posts would be helpful the way the once were to so many of you. I didn’t feel like I could inspire others if I wasn’t feeling inspired myself. I didn’t feel empowered, so how could I coach others to feel that they are?⁣

Sometimes we need sweet reminders to pull us out of dark spaces and back into the light. I thought about my purpose and my why. It’s time to share that with you again. ⁣

Spring is here. It’s a time of renewal. To refocus. To reemerge. To blossom. Grow. 🌺⁣⁣

Cheers to Chapter 47 🥰⁣

The start of 2024 has been challenging me mentally and emotionally, especially the last week. Car accident. Return of my shoulder pain. Dancer daughter with tendinitis. Ugh.⁣

This morning, I woke up. Grateful for another birthday. Excited for a year full of travel, starting with a trip to Mexico next month. Motivated to jump back in on my health journey. Loving myself a little more today than I have in a while. 💜💜⁣

“You never fail until you stop trying.” —Albert Einstein⁣

I went to the doctor for a checkup last week after not going for way too long. I avoid going because of fear of being judged or finding out that something may be wrong. But, I haven’t been feeling great for a while and I knew it was time to go. I’m so glad that I did. ⁣

Bloodwork showed that I’m one tenth of a percent away from being considered pre diabetic. Ummm, what? How? After the initial shock of seeing that number and the one on the scale, I sat with all of this. And, I got real with myself about how this happened and what I need to do to change it and get back on my path. ⁣

I have the most amazing PA who is supporting me and wanting to help me find solutions. I’m addressing some other issues with medication and I’m already feeling like I’m steering this ship in a positive direction again. I’m learning to be okay with being a beginner again and giving myself grace for getting back to this place. I know it’s going to be okay. 💜

Sometimes you have to remember it’s okay to take a step away 🥰⁣

For the last few years, the month of October has been tough for me. Memories. Triggers. Sadness. Struggling to find joy. This year was no different. But, how I handled it was.⁣

I chose to step away from some things. I took time off from work to tend to my to-do list that was overwhelming me every day. I journaled and meditated. I moved my body when I could. I cried…a lot. ⁣

This time to reset and recharge helped me rediscover what’s important to me and my life moving forward. It was necessary and I’m glad I did it. If you’ve stuck around, thank you for being here. I’m excited to continue to share my journey with you. 💜💜

First day of school…part two!⁣ ✌🏻

Today, we welcomed another new class at the preschool. After yesterday not going as well as I had hoped, I woke up this morning and made a choice. I chose to let go of the negativity and pour all of my energy into creating an amazing brand new day. ⁣

I soaked up all of the sounds of giggling and excited squeals from our new students. I felt so proud of my team for everything they do to give our kids the best preschool experience. I felt gratitude for those who listen and give advice. I smiled more. ⁣

I reminded myself that I can never change the past. But, I can always make a choice to move forward every day. 🥰
