Supporting Communities Through Life's Most Difficult Moments 🐾

Across the country, therapy dog organizations and volunteer teams bring comfort to communities following tragic events. We recognize and appreciate their compassion, dedication, and willingness to serve.

At CRC, our mission focuses on specialized animal-assisted crisis response through trained and certified canine and handler teams.

CRC does not self-deploy. Our teams respond when requested, working alongside agencies, first responders, and mental health professionals.

Our work goes beyond the comforting presence of a canine. CRC teams support Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) interventions, including defusings, debriefings, and other structured support following traumatic events.

Much of this work happens behind the scenes, where privacy, confidentiality, and trust matter most. These moments may never be photographed or shared publicly, but they are often where our most meaningful work takes place.

Animal-assisted support takes many forms, and each has an important role. What distinguishes crisis response is the specialized training, preparation, and understanding of trauma that our handlers and canines bring to those they serve.

Because being prepared to respond is just as important as being willing to respond.

The CRC family extends our deepest condolences to the Philadelphia Police Department, the family and loved ones of Shane Seiber, and the entire Philadelphia community during this difficult time.

Having stood alongside members of the Philadelphia Police Department during difficult times in the past, we understand the importance of being there for those who dedicate their lives to serving others.

In moments of tragedy, meaningful support is not measured by what is seen or shared publicly, but by the compassion, respect, and genuine commitment we extend to those who are grieving.

Our thoughts and prayers remain with the Philadelphia Police Department and everyone affected by this heartbreaking loss. We stand with you today and in the difficult days ahead. 💙

🇺🇸 **Supporting Those Who Serve** 🇺🇸

CRC K9 Ducky and K9 Smoke had the honor of spending some very special time with members of the Maryland National Guard’s 175th Infantry as they made their final preparations for an extended deployment.

From the cantonment area through their departure at BWI Airport, Ducky and Smoke were there to offer a quiet presence, comfort, smiles, laughter, and support to our men and women in uniform as they began their journey.

Sometimes there are no words needed. Just four paws, a wagging tail, and a reminder that there are people back home thinking of you.

To the members of the 175th and their families, thank you for your dedication, sacrifice, and service. We wish you safe travels and a safe deployment. You will be in our thoughts, and we look forward to welcoming you home. 🇺🇸🐾

**We’ll see you when you return.**

💙 Honoring the Life and Service of Officer Kristen Yeager 💙

On Sunday, family, friends, fellow officers, and members of the community gathered to celebrate the life of fallen Central Berks Police Officer Kristen Yeager, who tragically lost her life in the line of duty following a motor vehicle crash while responding to an emergency assistance request from a neighboring police department.

Crisis Response Canines was honored to be present during this meaningful day of remembrance. K9 Boone and K9 Maverick were there to provide comfort, connection, and quiet support to those mourning the loss of Officer Yeager.

There are moments when words simply aren’t enough. During times of tremendous loss, the presence of a canine can provide a moment of comfort, a place to pause, and a reminder that no one has to carry grief alone.

We extend our deepest condolences to Officer Yeager’s family, her Central Berks Police Department family, fellow first responders, and the entire community impacted by her loss.

Thank you, Officer Kristen Yeager, for your service and sacrifice. Your life and service will not be forgotten. 💙🖤
