Review for Xuba Evaristo

β€œYou know how some massages leave you feeling pampered but not necessarily feeling better? This is not what you get with Xuba - you leave feeling like you've had a massage, been to the chiropractor and did a meditation session! He's very well versed in his craft and immediately identified my problem spots. This was my first myofascial release and cranial sacral therapy - I loved learning about these treatments and what they do for you. Do your body/mind a favor and book with Xuba immediately!”

Your body runs 37.2 trillion cells, each performing thousands of reactions every second, without a moment of rest. Behind every heartbeat and breath lies a level of precision and synchronization no man-made system has matched. It happens silently, constantly, completely outside your awareness.

Human Brain Anatomy: An Incredible Journey Through the Body's Master Control Center

The human brain is the most sophisticated organ in the body, weighing approximately 1.3–1.4 kg while containing nearly 86 billion neurons connected through trillions of synapses. Every heartbeat, breath, thought, memory, emotion, sensation, and voluntary movement is coordinated by this remarkable organ.

This illustration provides a comprehensive overview of the brain's protective layers and major anatomical structures. From the scalp and cranial bones that shield the brain externally to the meninges the dura mater, arachnoid mater, and pia mater which provide protection, support, and house the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), each layer plays a critical role in maintaining normal brain function.

The cerebral cortex, characterized by its gyri and sulci, is responsible for higher cognitive functions including reasoning, language, learning, memory, sensory perception, and voluntary motor control. Deep within the cerebral hemispheres lie the basal ganglia, essential for regulating movement, the thalamus, which acts as the brain's primary sensory relay station, and the hypothalamus, the center for maintaining homeostasis by regulating body temperature, hunger, thirst, sleep, and endocrine functions through its connection with the pituitary gland.

✨ What Is Fascia? The Missing Piece of Your Health ✨

Most people have never heard of fascia… yet it surrounds every muscle, bone, nerve, blood vessel, organ, and cell in your body.

Think of it as your body’s living communication networkβ€”connecting everything from head to toe.

πŸ’› What is fascia made of?
Fascia is primarily made of:
β€’ Collagen – provides strength and support.
β€’ Elastin – allows tissues to stretch and recoil.
β€’ Ground substance – a gel-like matrix rich in water, hyaluronic acid, and other molecules that help tissues glide smoothly.
β€’ Living cells including fibroblasts and myofibroblasts that continuously remodel and repair the tissue.

Healthy fascia is hydrated, flexible, and adaptable.

⚠️ But when fascia becomes restricted from trauma, surgery, repetitive stress, inflammation, emotional stress, or prolonged poor posture, it can become stiff and lose its ability to glide freely. It can have up to 2000lbs per sq in of pressure not detectable any imaging.

This may contribute to:
β€’ Chronic pain
β€’ Limited mobility
β€’ Muscle tightness
β€’ Headaches
β€’ Nerve compression
β€’ Poor circulation and lymphatic flow
β€’ Compensation patterns throughout the body

🌿 Why is fascia so important?
Your fascia:
✨ Supports every movement you make.
✨ Helps distribute force throughout the body.
✨ Contains millions of sensory nerve endings that help your brain know where your body is in space proprioception and detect changes within the body interoception.
✨ Assists healthy circulation and lymphatic drainage.
✨ Plays an important role in nervous system regulation and whole-body function.

When your fascia moves well, your body moves well.

πŸ’œ John Barnes’ Myofascial Release uses gentle, sustained pressure to help soften fascial restrictions, restore mobility, improve hydration within the tissues, and support your body’s natural ability to heal.

Your body isn’t just made of muscles and bones…
It’s connected by fascia.

When you care for your fascia, you’re caring for your entire body.
