Stay hydrated this summer!

Water plays an essential role in energy levels, digestion, temperature regulation, and overall health — especially during the hotter summer months. Dehydration can leave us feeling tired, dizzy, irritable, and low on energy.

Hydration doesn’t just come from water, either! Foods like watermelon, cucumbers, strawberries, oranges, and lettuce can also help support hydration.

June is Pride Month, a time to celebrate LGBTQIA+ identities while also recognizing the unique mental health and eating disorder challenges many in the community face.

Research shows LGBTQIA+ individuals experience disproportionately higher rates of eating disorders, body dissatisfaction, and disordered eating due to factors like stigma, discrimination, trauma, and lack of affirming care.

This month is about visibility, advocacy, inclusion, and creating safer spaces where all people feel supported in their relationship with food and body image. Everyone deserves compassionate, weight-inclusive, identity-affirming care. 🏳️‍🌈

June is National Fresh Fruits & Vegetables Month! This month is the perfect time to add more color to your plate, visit a local farmers market, and try produce you may not normally reach for. Fruits and vegetables provide important nutrients that support energy, digestion, hydration, immune health, and so much more. And eating them doesn’t have to be complicated.

Whether it’s adding berries to breakfast, tossing veggies on the grill, or trying a refreshing summer salad, small changes can make a big difference. 🍓🥒

What’s your favorite summer fruit or vegetable? Let us know below!

Eating disorders are serious mental illnesses affecting over 9% of the population. They can impact anyone and often co-occur with conditions such as anxiety, depression, or OCD. As prevalence continues to rise, it’s critical that eating disorders are included in conversations during Mental Health Awareness Month and beyond. Awareness, early support, and access to care can make a meaningful difference.
