📓Meaning of “One on One Care” 📓
There are three different options for One on One Care.
24 Hour Caregiver ❤️
This can be a combination from one caregiver being a “live-in” to having two or three different caregivers splitting up shifts and days. For example: One caregiver does 8am-8pm and one does 8pm-8am.
If you choose to have a “live-in” you can include room and board as a part of the salary negotiations.
(This option is best for Advanced Alzheimer’s patients or Patients that have fallen and need extra help with day to day activities)
Private Duty Care❤️
This is also known as personal care aide, home health aide, home care, or care transition. This type of in-home care helps with mobility, hygiene, light housework, and other non-medical needs. As well as can include running errands and much more. The aide is usually more flexible to the needs and wants of the patient. (This is good option to start with early Dementia patients or simply someone who needs a companion throughout the day so they are not alone)
Respite Services ❤️
Short-term care for an older adult that can last from a few hours to several weeks. Respite services give regular caregivers a break to rest, travel, or spend time with family and friends. (This can be an On Call aide that you have in the back of your hand for last minute help or simply a break for an exhausted family member)
🤔One BIG difference between one on one care and facility care is that one on one allows the patient to keep living in their own home and having all their attention on them.
👑Its all about them because THEY DESERVE TO BE TREATED LIKE ROYALTY. They express their needs and the aide follows through.
